You really think MP is worth 5M a year?

Don't know what he's worth on the open market, but I'm guessing its around 4-5 million a year.

I think he will pick up his option but it's really 50/50, he could try to get a new deal while still under the current CBA. He was worth $5m when he first signed his current deal. He was more versatile but since he's been in ORL, he's only been chucking 3's. I think his BBIQ will hurt his value but he will get paid around $4m a year I think. Championship teams could use his defense and 3PT shooting.

Who legitimately would've taken Hedo and his ridiculous contract? I'm just effing glad we don't have to have his name in our books for another 3 seasons with the price tag $10m, $11m, $12m next to it. The front office did a heck of a job getting rid of Hedo's deal and a guy who would've left for nothing while bringing in front court help on a decent contract and an $18m expiring. Not to mention the 1st rounder which, while not real attractive as a late 1st rounder, is still an asset. Even though we didn't get the PF we wanted, we strengthened our C position and made Lopez a tradeable asset. We're looking MUCH better going into next season. We'll have money to spend on FA's to get us real help. We have assets we could trade to get us better. Had we stubbornly tried and wait for a PF to become available, it's possible we might not even be able to get a deal done and Hedo will just get harder and harder to trade after this season.

Don't get it mixed up JChill was Sarver's mistake (if that's how you see it) and Peaches was a throw-in who could've helped a lot but even if he doesn't, he's not on a cap killing contract like Hedo was.

and who traded for hedo not even 2 months before the trade??? yes he is an atrocious contract but sarver is the one that traded for him in the first place, so we basically had to give away jrich to make up for that mistake. not really a win if you ask me. sarver had no business trading leandro for that disease in the first place. raptors fans threw parties and wanted to send us gifts for taking his contract lol. this management is hopeless

The trade was in place to add firepower to a team already with Nash and Stoudemire. Stoudemire left but the trade was already in place. It isn't like we traded for him with the knowledge he'd be our PF and the 3rd best player on the team.

JRich was leaving regardless. He was a $14m expiring who was going to leave for nothing. Now we used his deal to get rid of Hedo and got us some nice assets, while retaining an expiring deal (VC's deal is basically expiring). Had we not made the deal, we'd still be down JRich but Hedo would still be on our roster. Honestly, after the Hedo mistake, the trade is about as good as it gets, my friend.

Also the current FO had no dealings this off-season. Babby's first move in the FO was extending Dudley. Every mistake we made this summer was Sarver;s.

SUNS need to respect NASH and HILL and trade them to a contender...

WE need to replace HILL - I know we have a lot of wings....

but

WILSON CHANDLER would be amazing for the suns.......

look into playing chandler at SG.....

draft a pg...such as Brandon Knight or WALKER

this could be the future

pg- brooks, knight or walker
sg- chandler, pietrus
sf- dudley, childress
pf- pick one up for lopez, warrick
c- gortat, frye

Really? Bump your old topic after you already made your point with Wilson Chandler on the game thread?
