Would we be interested in a deal around him and our 1st rounder? Maybe even adding our MIA 1st?

S.Curry ($2,913,840) (rookie scale for 3 more years)
D.Wright ($3,540,000) (2 more years)
A.Biedrins ($9,000,000) (2 more years, 3rd year is ETO)

for

R.Evans ($5,080,000) (expiring)
J.Calderon ($9,000,000) (2 more years)
TOR 1st Round Pick (unprotected)
MIA 1st Round Pick (unprotected) ???

Lineup:

Curry/Bayless
DeRozen/Weems (Resigned)
D.Wright/Klezia
Evans/Johnson
Bargs/Biedrins

Thoughts?

You're saying we trade Evans but then you have Evans in our starting lineup...

I love Steph Curry and would absolutely love to bring him here....I would throw a lot at Golden State for curry/wright/biedrins....including Bargnani as I don't know if we will ever be a good defensive team with him and being a good defensive team is what will ever make you a solid winner. However trading Bargs, i get worried about the offense of our front court.

Sorry, I corrected, we keep Davis, move Evans. I just wrote the lineup incorrectly.

Lineup after trade:

Curry/Bayless
DeRozen/Weems (Resigned)
D.Wright/Klezia
Davis/Johnson
Bargs/Biedrins

^^ I think the Warriors really like Dorrell Wright, and I'm not sure that swapping Biedrins for Jose is what they'd want to do either--their goal in trading Curry is to get a star and make them more competitive as they look to make the playoffs now, this would be more of a rebuilding move.

which is why I would possibly offer them Bargnani....he is a 20 ppg big men after all maybe GS will bite.

Trade ID #5824733
Barbosa + evans + davis + 2011 raps pick
for
S.curry + d.wright. + Biedrens

Why not centre it around Bargnani rather than Ed Davis? Shot blocking bigs with a good feel for the game dont grow on trees...So if they want us to throw in Ed Davis, I take my chances with the draft or develop Bayless.

Thats on how you much stock you put in Ed and Bargs. I like a bargs biedrens pairing more than I like ed davis biedrens. Moving bargs for curry would be a latteral move right now. Moving ed davis for curry for be a win now move and a move towards the future.

anyway the trade would/should look like this.

Trade ID #5824744

Barbosa + evans + davis + 2011 unprotected pick
for
S.curry + Charlie bell + biedrens.

They get out og biedrens contract. Upgrade barbosa for bell seeing how they both have 1yr left. They get a good young player with upside and a top 10 pick for s.curry.

No way I leave a deal w/ GSW without D.Wright and Curry if we are moving our pick and Davis.

Heck considering our pick could end up being top 3 and Ed Davis is one of the best prospects from last year's draft, we should be able to get way more than those two. BC needs to make this happen :D

I'll be very surprised if Colangelo doesn't move Reggie and Barbosa before the deadline.

I think we might just let Reggie expire unless we can find a team willing to dump a young player it doesn't want (Thabeet?), or a playoff team is willing to give up a late pick to trade Reggie for a useless expiring (MoPete?)

I'd assume they'd want to keep wright. We are definately getting the best player out of this deal tho with s.curry. Our starting backcourt would be stable for like the next 10 yrs. I'd ask for the right to swap picks or a 2nd rounder back atleast. But I wouldn't walk from this deal.

Not sure if Reggie will be moved. I think Barbosa has some interest around the league but I'm not expecting to get anything that great for him. I think the best we can hope for is getting under the cap even more this offseason by trading him for an expiring like Ford.

I would do Evans for Thabeet.
Its a one year try out on yet another raw is red meat center, but one who is massive and is a natural shotblocker.

To Toronto:
Jordan Crawford
Mike Bibby
Maurice Evans
Samuel Dalmbert

To ATL
Jose

To Kings
Andrea Bargs
Reggie Evans

What this would do would give us more cap space due to removing andrea contract and jose while getting prospects like jordan crawford.

To TOR: Andre Miller + POR 2nd
To POR: Jose Calderon + Miami 1st + Cash (covers difference in salary)

then:

To TOR: Cj Watson + James Johnson + Keith Bogans (waived)
To CHI: Leandro Barbosa + Joey Dorsey

our lineup this season

Miller / Bayless / Watson
Derozan / Weems
Wright / Johnson / Klezia*
A.Johnson / Davis / Evans*
Bargnani / Ajincia / Alabi

which is worse probably but MIller can push the tempo and expires at the end of the year. After everything this puts us at 33,148,440 in total salary for next year. So we have cap room. Heres my plan, since we get worse it will result in more loses.

- Draft Kyrie Irving (hopefully)
- Sign Jeff Green/Wilson Chandler/Thad Young (to 9.5 mill +, because their RFA you have to make the other team not match)
- Sign Tyson Chandler/Samuel Dalembert to a deal (we would have about 5-6 million,so i think these are more realistic than Jordan,Oden,Perkins, ect because those teams will give them more)
- Re-sign Weems to a 2.5 million/year deal

Kyrie Irving / Jerryd Bayless / Cj Watson
Demar Derozan / Sonny Weems
WIlson Chandler / Linas Klezia / James Johnson
Andrea Bargnani / Ed Davis
Samuel Dalembert / Amir Johnson / Solomon Alabi

+ POR 2nd rounder, draft Jermey Tyler? or another PF/C

+ fill out the roster with minimum players.

That team is nasty. You have increased defense with Chandler + Dalembert (i think hell come cheaper than Tyson so i picked him). So young and has so much potential. Easily a playoff team next year and you have a complete team with a bench.

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

After we turned him down for free?

Colangelo would look real good if he ended up trading an asset for him a few months after...

They're the same player.

Decent scorers, inefficient as first options who can't play defense. Or rebound. This would be the most lateral move ever.

Edit: Wait check that, Beasley hasn't been signed to an extension right? So that means you get to get rid of him instead of signing him to a 50 million dollar deal. Let's do it.

Another PF then who would take Bargnani's starting spot as Centre? Amir Johnson? He'll most likely pick up couple fouls in first 5 minutes so it wouldn't work out that well.
