after tonites game this should be starting five

Post#1 » by Montanajazz » Thu Jan 27, 2011 5:37 am

After to nites loss to san antonio, which the jazz played well against, Memet Okur should start to open up the lane at the beginning of the game. Jefferson at power forward with Jeremy Evans and his energy at Small forward. D will and Miles at guard. 2nd unit, Watson, Bell, Kirlinko, Milsap and Elson.
The energy is there when wtson, Evans, Okur, and miles play with or without Williams. Jazz show more life with these athletic players playing. Milsap, Jefferson very often, Kirlinko and Bell are just plain boring and stagnent. Evans is playing better and with more confidence then Hayward and should get his minutes.

You have a new one every night....I think Evans deserves more PT, but I like him at power forward. One thing I have decided on though, Millsap and Jefferson don't do well when they are on the court together for extended periods of time...

Memo was 0-4 tonight. I hardly think that means he is ready to start again.

True, but he was spacing the floor well when he was out there, creating some easy shots aka Evans oops.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

Either start him or DNP him. He is worthless coming off the bench. He's so damn tentitive. He's starting to perfect the Scott Padgett "Let's pump fake a wide open shot so I can have a much worse shot" offense.

I like the idea of Price starting at the two. He defends well and always runs the floor.

I thought Evans played very well and hope he gets more PT, but I hardly think one quarter indicates he's "playing better and with more confidence than Hayward" and that he should get Gordon's minutes. The obvious solution is to play CJ Miles and Raja Bell less.

And then when he picks up his second foul by the 10 minute mark we can put an actual NBA player in.

I l like this except for Evans. I'd start Hayward there.

Although Memo passed up a lot of shots he should've taken and instead took shots on the move, he looked pretty good on defense. Mentally I think he's a good team defender and rebounder, he just lacks the lateral quickness. But at this point I'll take a guy who knows where to go but sometimes can't get there vs. guys that don't know what they're doing.
