I'll bet the Lakers wish he had gone to them instead of us.

I wish he had gone to them instead of us. (actually not really, he did help us a lot at the start of the season. But now he should play sporadic minutes NOT a full time starter.)

Re: No more Bell PLEASE!!!
I've been saying his signing has been a disaster for the last two months.
I don't understand why he is still getting minutes. He is nearly worthless.

Re: No more Bell PLEASE!!!
Bell is ok for what he is paid, but he is not an NBA starting caliber SG any more. As a reserve he would be just fine, but we need him to be more than that.

Bell has been alot worse than I expected. He has provided some veteran leadership early in the year, but if you play poorly as he has done, the young guys will tune you out. I wouldnt be unhappy in trading him for simple salary cap relief.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

He provides this team with some defense and grittyness, but please, make open jumpshots Bell! If he can't do that, bench him.

Don't you guys remember how bad we hated him when we had him the first time?
Did anyone think he had gotten better?

Re: No more Bell PLEASE!!!
count me in on "no more bell" he's not the only problem on the team and I see the effort but he should not be on the court shooting the way he is. Hayward can take over and I don't care how bad he gets burned, he's a rookie and give him the playing time.

Can't win against the elite when Bell goes scoreless and gives up 15+ to his man. Just terrible....

I can see it now. It'll take some unretirements, but Utah would love it...
Draft Jimmer at the point, Trade for Reddick at the 2, put Gordo at the 3, Matt "Did you know he played football in high school?" Harpring at the 4, and Shawn "The Mormon Meteor" Bradley competes us at the 5.
Doesn't matter what whiteies we fill the bench out with- surely the collective burning of bosoms of that starting 5 would bring the Gold Trumpet Player, er... Larry O'Brien Trophy to Utah.

Check out where Raja ranks on the list of SG sorted by PER.
I know those numbers aren't gospel, but I also know that they're not completely wrong. And they'd have to be completely wrong to justify Raja getting starter's minutes.

Talk about some rare air. That is just plain painful. He would be worth it even if he were just a lock-down defender, but he isn't even close. The Bell experiment has been a huge let-down...

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

Re: No more Bell PLEASE!!!
If Bell was hitting threes like he has in the past, everyone would love him.
I think Jazz fans have their priorities out of line. From what I read, they look like this:
1. "Stretching the floor"
2. Backup point guards
3. Backup shooting guards
4. Running the fast break
When they should look like this:
1. Interior defense
2. Backup bigs
3. Perimeter defense
4. Execution in the half court set
I think we all know what's really important, but we have given up on the possibility of having a respectable defensive anchor, and so we all focus on shooting threes. Let's face it, as fans we're all a bunch of short, unathletic basketball wannabes who chuck the long ball every chance we get in pickup games, and that's all we want to see in the ESA anymore.
If we want to contend, we must get bigs comparable to Gasol and Bynum, or Garnett and Perkins. That's what it takes. In the meantime, I'd like to see Okur and Jefferson give it a try.

In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

I get all of that, but I think "Starting Shooting Guard not ranked 66th in the NBA" should be pretty high on the list, and fairly easy to accomplish (compared with say, landing a center who is a defensive stalwart).
