Uh, no to Keke Clark. One of the worst comparisons I have seen.

The comparison is just to say that scorers don't always translate to the league, not that the play similar...

Fair enough about the player comparison part.

But, he was 5'8 and was not nearly as efficient offensively as Jimmer. Not to mention the fact that St. Peters (to my knowledge) never won the MAAC.

crazy ass Per

Derick Williams at 36.16

Thats just nuts. I think Jimmer is probably going to be a late first rounder. Might be higher since this draft is so weak

^ The more I watch him play, the more I think you're right. Scouts last season reportedly said that he had a shot at the first in the previous draft.

Woodside was never a draft pick. Fredette could have been in the 1st last year. Fredette is a late lottery type but since the need for PG's aren't high, he could slip.

Fredette drafted in the 1st round?

Can anyone name 5 similar guards within the last 20 years that have been drafted in the 1st round?
Generally GMs aren't looking to be trend setters with 1st round NBA picks. If you haven't seen it before it's because it will not happen.

if JJ can carve out a niche in the NBA, Fredette can too. He'll need a Never-say-die attitude to transform his body though.

Name a PG like him and I will. Don't say Woodside, that's like saying James White is like Josh Smith. The talent level is much different.

He's similar to Jaycee Carroll who has had success overseas and even in the NBA summer league. I think Fredette is a better version of him - Id give him an early second round grade.

When you see them you'll be impressed, and pay attention to the way Jimmer can change direction in traffic....He's not nearly as one dimensional as people make him out to be.

There isn't a snowball's chance in hell that Jimmer isn't a lotto pick, and rightfully so.

And if he we're black you'd rank him a lottery pick, right? Racism cuts both ways. :banghead: :wavefinger:

Jimmer fredette wil be a solid nba player just don't expect yearly all star game appearances. I think he is similiar to Eddie House maybe better. Mark price and Stephen Curry were other comparable players he could also be the next steve alford. Either way he is a great college player to watch play. BYU has never made a final four maybe this is the year.

i dont think he has nearly the passing ability of Curry, and to a lesser extent the quickness of Curry.

He is like a mix of Steph traits and JJ traits, but without the combination of them to give him a legit position.

Something tells me Jimmer is gonna need a team that has a star point forward for him to succeed. Think D Fish, Mario Chalmers, Jason Terry or something like that.

Jimmer's a clear 1st round pick to me.
With his great shooting, he should have a long career. He's going to have to work hard to carve out a role though. Something like what JJ has done is achievable.
