With that said, his lack of ball movement stuck out like a sore thumb, especially in the 4th when we were trying to make a run. 4 or 5 possessions in the fourth, the ball would move twice, Yi would get it and take a long contested two. Over and over again he would miss and still he would shoot it. He has been hitting the past few games, but those shots were in rhythm and not contested.

I had the same feeling when he was shooting them, although he was 5 for 9 in the 4th (3-3 at the rim, 2-4 long 2s, 0-2 on 3-pointers). He's a career .340% 3P shooter, and the Wizards were pretty far down, so it's not like McGee was trying to hit them. Still, I liked the fact that the PGs were trying to get him involved at the rim. Yi can get some elevation and is not as weak as he constantly plays (I observe that from his occasionally winning shoving matches with people I figured would stomp him, making me think a lot of it's in his head). Again, I don't forget all that I've already seen, but better shot selection, choosing to pass a little rather than feel boxed into shooting, and playing just a little more like a 250 lb. 7-footer, might allow Yi's career to last a little while. Just not here.

The Nuggets are a better team and we were on our 4th game in 5 nights and still put-up 109, they killed us with 3's and we didn't hit ours.

So true...and sounds a little like EJ, ET, and FS (and Norv Turner too). You should do the post game interviews.

Got there late (left ticket at home), came by at the lunch break. All I remembered was "107 MS," "tunnel," and "wig." Didn't see a wig, but maybe you were off getting popcorn. What's "MS"?

I'm sad we lost. Haven't been able to watch them play much but apparently I'm not missing much.

Did you all see this?

Looks like they are having a leadership issue. Wall needs to step up and get in people's faces.

Wouldn't that be something? A 19 year old rookie asked to take on too much too soon? Sounds like typical Wizards to me.

i think blatche is actually talking about wall and him taking too many shots at such a low efficiency (i know. pot, meet kettle) but it is kind of forcing the issue by having wall initiate so much of the offense. i wouldn't mind if for some possessions, we have wall walk the ball up and then run things through AB in the high post. wall actually does a really good job of moving off-ball. i mean, not EVERY SET has to start off with a half-hearted pick, right? mix it up from time to time.

Speaking of picks...I understand that the less of an offensive option you are, the easier it is to focus on helping to facilitate the other options, but Seraphin's constant attempts to create space and screens for others, while sometimes clumsy and haphazard, are far from half-hearted.

MS was supposed to be you.

I forgot my wig yesterday, was kinda wishing for a brown paper bag instead.
Sorry I missed you. 'proof made a rare appearance last night as well.

Don't know what to say about dray other than the obvious that he
was pretty good after being horrible the game before.

N1 has become DaMan. Yet another very good game from Nick.

Wall did semi-decent, dub-dub.

McGee did his usual, a couple moments of brilliance
and some other moments of idiocy.

I thought we missed an opportunity in the 1st Q when
Karl chose to leave Billups in after he had picked up
2 fouls in McGee like fashion, first 3 min. We should
have gone after him to defend with those fouls
or risk picking up a 3rd. That said, Lawson did well
so it maybe wouldn't have helped much.

Harrington was insane in the 4th Q

To be honest, I don't see Wall move whatsoever when he passes the ball on offense... He just goes to a designated spot on the court and stands there... Most of the team stops moving when Dray gets the ball; nobody even tries to start a give and go with Dray... Also; no hand-offs are done on this team...

This is what was amazing. I remembered looking at the stats and saying, wow, we played them well " by the stats" except they crushed us on the 3 ball.

But reading this was interesting.

Toss out the box score from the game. The final was 120-109 Denver, but I could convince you otherwise. Washington led 56-46 in points in the paint, 32-8 in fastbreak points, they shot 51.2-percent from the field and made 23 of 27 free-throws. The Wizards were only out-rebounded by three (39-36), all in the defensive boards category, had the same amount of assists as Denver (23), and two less turnovers (15-13). Washington blocked nine shots, which may have contributed to the Nuggets’ 13-2 lead in second chance points, because both teams pulled seven offensive rebounds. Andray Blatche’s first quarter shot chart even looked like this:

That shot chart summarizes the most interesting and exciting part of the game. Unfortunately, it was over pretty quickly. Blatche wouldn't get such great results every time, but if he always tried to play like that, and only augmented that inside game with a not horrible but often horribly inconsistent midrange jumper, he could be a solid starter on a good team, maybe even on this team.

They usually win when I'm in the arena. Maybe I should go to a road game.
