1st time I have ever seen Sully take a jump shot in my life and it's a knock down 3, in rhythm, nothing but net!!

:o

Love to see him show more range like that.

I'd like to see Kanter in a bobs uniform. He is a little undersized to play C full time, but he'd be a perfect 6th man logging 30 minutes a night between C and PF, if you had a big enough starting C. Or he could just start C, but might be a little small next to Tyrus.

SLAMonline Fredette’s 43 Lifts BYU Over SD St. http://dlvr.it/FCf60

Watched this game last night and came away completely impressed with Fredette. I had not seen him play except for highlights on ESPN and youtube. I was expecting a JJ Redick type of player. He is way better than Redick.

This guy is the primary ballhandler for the team. Brings it up everytime. He is a lights out shooter out to 30 feet. The guy has an amazing crossover! He uses it to free himself for long 3's or drives to the rim. He has a very good handle. Splits double teams. For the most part, he creates all of his own shots, not running off screens. Kevin Durant tweeted he is the " best scorer in the world!!".

The guy is 6'2 and weighs 195. I could see him doing the same thing Steph Curry is doing at point guard in the league.

What's his passing like hotrod? Can he find team mates for open shots/easy baskets?

Most teams seem interested in him as a 2 guard but he seems kinda small for it...

He can. I believe he is a good passer. Last night he did not have alot of opportunity to display that scoring 43 of his teams 71 points. They said that game last night was the biggest game in conference history with both teams being ranked so high. With that said, I think he was extra jacked up and wanted to show his stuff. But anyone with his handle and ability to penetrate can dish the rock. He doesn't have a ton of talent around him at BYU.

Also he was being guarded by guys with superior athletic ability, sometimes two guys. I can think of only 2 or 3 shots that were forced out of the 24 he took. Very quick release too. Fun to watch.

I wouldn't call him fast. He has a good quick 1st step which helps him get by people.

I've been watching him a little today. Does he ever get some lift on his J!!!! He really gets his legs into it.

His handles are pretty tight. He does a great job of changing direction and has a pretty quick step.

Had a lazy, medication riddled day today and got to watch a ton of college hoops.

First up was my Heels and the dismantling of NC State.

--Barnes looked fantastic. Went for 25 and 6 and had the biggest smile on his face all game long. Confidence and inconsistency have long been his issues this year but hopefully today was a jumping point for continued success. Or rather, Let's hope he continues to slip and we can take him with the ~15th pick. He's going to be a fantastic NBA player.

--Henson looked equally as dominant, on the defensive end. 16 points, 16 boards, 7 huge blocks, countless other shots altered.

Kentucky and Georgia.

--Trey Thompkins looked bad and largely invisible all game long. The announcers said he's been dealing with an ankle injury, so let's hope that's the case and he redeems himself later on.

--Terrence Jones continues to not impress me. I know Slam loves him but he just doesn't seem to have a high BBIQ (or regular IQ for that matter). He only goes left, and when that's taken away (like tonight) he disappears. Maybe I always catch him on an off night, but I'm not liking him that much.

--Brandon Knight is a good scorer, but a point guard the kid is not. He's like a homeless man's Russell Westbrook. No thanks.

UConn and Louisville

--The game was great, double overtime, one point final.

--I stay unimpressed on Kemba. Sure he scored 20 points, but he needed 23 (!!!) shots to get it. He's too small to play his natural position (SG) and shoots too much to play PG.

Now I have Ohio State/Northwestern on the computer and Kansas/Kansas State on the TV

--Sullinger is playing well. Hasn't really done anything WOW worthy, but he doesn't make many mistakes. He isn't the most athletic player in the country but, my god, the guy has the biggest ass in the world--and boy does he use it!

--The Morris twins really have turned into some pretty solid basketball players. I know I've talked about Marcus for awhile now, but he really is a well-rounded, highly skilled player. He boards, backs down, plays big, shoots from deep.

--Tyshawn Taylor is another guy I've been high on, and he continues to be a fantastic defensive player. It's only been ~7 minutes, but he's kept Pullen from doing just about anything. He doesn't score much (and he really doesn't need to), but he is solid.

--Pullen, read above.

Barnes has been a train wreak all season. If he enters the draft this summer I think he is out of his mind and if he stays in, I want no part of him. I do like Henson though. Wouldn't have a place on our roster with the long term commitment we just made to T2.

Thompkins doesn't need to redeem himself later on - he had a bad game. His shot just didnt drop. He and T.Jones were both in foul trouble early too because they were being so physical with each other. Thompkins has been having a very good season. I think he has the size to play the 5 in the NBA too. He's a very smart player. He did pull down 11 boards today. Leslie had an off game too.

I can't believe you think that Terrence Jones has a low BBIQ. Do you see the plays that he makes? The passes he makes? The reason he gets into the lane so easily is because of his high BBIQ. I do agree about him going left too much though. It was never more evident than today. Again, like Trey, the fouls took him out of the game a little.

I'm not a fan of Knight either. Not that high on Walker either. I like Dee Bost more than both of them.

I love Sullinger more and more every time I watch him. Did you see that early steal, coast to coast and dunk of his? I thought he was going to pull the back board down!! I still think he needs some counter moves though. He can bully his way to the rack in college, not sure he will be able to do the same in the NBA. I love the way he passes out of the double though. Funny you mention his arse. His body type reminds me a lot of the body type of our very own Boris Diaw!!

I've been pleasantly surprised at how well the Morris twins shoot the ball. They both have great range. They are little smaller than I thought they would be though.

I watched some more Perry Jones today and am still not overly impressed by him.

He sort of reminds me a little of Kevin Martin (without the funky looking jump shot).
