OMG!!! I just erased my text twice when I adjust my keyboard geez!

basically...both mid day shows stink

Mr. Contrarian Hartman is intolerable I can't listen I wan't to punch him through the radio. O'brien does promos the rest of the time. Is this even a radio show anymore? They keep trying different guys with Hartman, they refuse to get rid of the problem. The program director must be Hartmans godfather.

Kellerman is totally unorganized. Wiley is a nice edition I enjoy his NFL insight, but what will he have after the SB is over?

I'm just happy to be able to listen to the best guy in sports radio, Petros, how many smart funny guys are out there? There's a few, but LOL funny? Just him. He cracks me up and gives me great info. Plus he gives so much to the show being a Newlywed and all, he's just fantastic.

Siciliano's whining eventually sealed his fate. I felt like every single sentence out of his mouth was moaning and complaining like a B*.

I really liked Kellerman when he first got here and was doing the show mostly on his own (with a little A. Martinez help). What he had going for him was his intelligence and quick-wittedness, but now that he's added M. Wiley, its like he literally had to slow down and dumb down the show and its painful to listen to.

Lakers on the radio just does not seem the same with out the great Chick Hearn. For those who grew up listiening to him every night and after the games. It was one of those special things that will never be heard again.

add Kellerman appears to be a Laker fan and won't shut up about Blake in Laker uni. We already have the best PF in the game Kellerman.

i don't know about that part, haha.

wiley did seem over his head when discussing the NBA CBA though, he should catch up pretty soon since it'll be a huge topic going forward.

Siciliano was not a die hard Laker fan.
There were times were Laker topics would come up and he just wasn't as into the discussion as he would be to Baseball.

Even though I did enjoy their show, Mychal was really only the Life of the Party.

Their ratings went down dramatically compared to their first year with ESPN.
I still miss AM 570 with Vic the Brick , Petros and Money.

At least we still got The Mason and Ireland Show.
An Mychal Thompson and Spero still call all the Laker games.

Andrew probably got shipped back to Cleveland.

I remember the good ol days when VTB, Mychal and Steve Hartman were on the Loose Cannons. That was fun.

+1

Can't believe they let Mychal walk... I mean the dude PLAYED for the Lakers for goodness sake. Why not have him on to legitimize the basketball talk.

Pat O'brien to me, just seems like a know it all. Dude you're a freaking commentator that's all!!! :-?

I don't think they let him walk... I thought because the Lakers moved to ESPN that broke up the Loose Cannons because Am570 merged with FOX so MT can't work for both ESPN and FOX radio. I agree Pat O'brien is mad annoying with all his big timer name dropping s h i t. Only thing I like about POB being on the cannons is when PMS makes fun of his @ss for being a douche. Thats Funny

yeah, pretty sure you're right. i really enjoyed the loose cannons back in the day, then i stopped liking it once MT left and started really liking andrew and MT over on 710. hartman just became strictly annoying afterwards, may be there was something about MT that helped everything mesh together.

The show was pretty legit today when he had Mychal Thompson as a guest host. They should stick with that combo.

Kellerman kept arguing that the Lakers couldn't beat the heat because the heat had the equivalent of Magic and Bird on their team. i think he was only saying it to be a contrarian as ever single caller called in to argue with him.

I was shocked though that no one brought up these simple points:
-Kobe cancels out Wade
-We have the 3 best Lebron Defenders in the league in Ron, Barnes, and Lamar, as they each bring something different to the table in defending him (strength, quickness, length)
-Who on the heat is going to guard Odom, Pau, or Bynum
-Best coach in history
-Fisher clutchness

I never thought Siciliano + Thompson had good chemistry. Siciliano would always try to make somewhat interesting conversation, but Mychal usually would not sound interested. Their shtick was "we're like an old married couple". I thought it made for terrible radio.

Max is a HUGE upgrade. I'm not too sure about Wiley, yet though.

Hartman is an embarrassment to LA radio. How he's still on the air is baffling. PMS are cool.

Kellerman won't last. I'd love to see Mahler in that slot he's fun.

12-3 slot is wide open neither stations show is any good. The rest of 570's lineup is the best it's ever been. Patrick, Rome, PMS, Bruno, Mahler
