Walsh does not hold all the cards. He holds some, but they won't take garbage. Denver can deal him to someone else right now.

1. They can deal him to whoever they want as long as Melo signs with knicks at the end of the year it doesnt matter

2. No team will give them any value know that Melo may not sign with them

3. If they another team stupid enough does decide to give up value like the bulls or nets, and Melo still signs with the knicks, its even more beneficial to the knicks having our competitors gutted

that is up debate

depending on the cap is, chandler, turiaf, mle, lle, 1st rd all have to be relinquished....and cannot take advantage of Azu expiring insurance paid contract

I agree completed. Some of these guys can't wait to return us to cap hell, despite the fact that the three key 2012 FA are all superior team contributors to Anthony. I'll be dammed if I give up my 2012 flexibility until I know, for sure, who will be available.

Thank god Donnie is smarter then you are. Once we gave 100 million to Amare we were all in to win now. Not wait until 2012, year 3 of his contract and HOPE that we can we can sign Paul, D-Wil or Howard when we have a chance to get a superstar to pair with Amare now. Not to mention we have a pg. We need another dominant scorer that could get their own shot in the clutch and there is noone better at that then Melo.

I think Melo deal is done already. Knicks allowing Denver to keep im a couple weeks to reassure their playoff position.

Yeah maybe. But from what I see and hear Melo is plenty aware. He's playing IMO. He laughs it off but he's manipulating I think. Can't see a miss step really. I want this, but maybe this is ok...then again maybe not. LOL. He has to keep his options open, keep everyone alive. In case of...whatever. Like what if he were injured but not presumed career threatening....where would he turn if he ruled most out? Not many places so he keeps it all alive. Let them believe.
