Time to get Mello baby!! And I say trade anyone but amare for him. Even after a win I am saying get mello so no one will accuse me being a frontrunner and wanting to trade players after a loss.

I think Melo will be a Knick sooner or later, i think the reason most of us are uneasy is because of what happened to lebron...so my advice to most of you is not to look into deep and believe Melo will come! :wink:

Haha. Now Carmelo isn't good in the playoffs and he isn't a clutch performer. If Carmelo is as bad as some of you make him out to be, why do we want him anyway? Even if we can get him for free, what is the point if he isn't that good?

The Knicks should trade whatever 2 gets them Carmelo. Be it Gallo and Fields, Fields and Chandler or Chandler and Fields. I love Fields, but I see no reason for him being the reason why we turn down a Carmelo trade.

i really liked this quote by donnie:

So basically Donnie said what I've been saying all along that the Nuggets would keep him, rather than trade him for garbage. They still have to get back a respectable package.

then let them be stubborn morons and lose him for essentially nothing in the summer. We need to get this whole thing behind us so we can make some moves to shore up our frontcourt and get a decent backup PG as well.

What I'm not getting is wasn't Uriji hired just so that something like what happened to the Raptors (losing Bosh for a TPE and a pair of late picks) wouldn't happen with Melo and the Nuggets? I really can't see this turning out good for his resume. If the plan is to keep Melo then they need a Gasol-to-the-Lakers type trade. And I think they know the fruitlessness of such a transaction. Chandler, AR, Eddy and Walker; no Gallo, no Fields, no cap relief. If not prepare to be Boshed this summer.

What's the difference between getting Boshed and taking the package you proposed? Its pretty much the same thing, possibly worse. However, its not like you guys make it seem. Donnie seems to realize Melo isn't just going to be handed to him.
