I agree. If people are nuthigging P.Jones so much then why aren't they equally as excited about Henson - who is pretty much the same sort of player?

Henson can't score outside of 4 feet and is probably the worst FT shooter in college

Perhaps Henson is thinking outside the box when he shoots foul shots 14 feet. Everyone else shoots 15 feet, so he's trying things a different way. Who's to say his way is wrong?

Well yeah, I guess there's the rulebook.

But other than that, what do peope have against rail thin PF's from UNC? I mean... didn't Brandan Wright turn out just fine in the NBA?

To be fair if Wright was healthy he'd be good, from what I've seen of him. Henson is not on his offensive level though, not even close
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

Kanter will fall, I don't see him being a top 5 pick at all. He had serious knee injuries n they're problem still. That's a red flag; Kanter also hasn't proven anything in college, people are judging him entirely on his performance in high school (Harrison Barnes?) and in all these Euro Championships, that's not enough. That's entirely potential

Kanter may be the Ed Davis of this draft class IMO. I won't be surprised if he falls to the 9th-12th range

This is very possible. Especially with the glut of more proven bigs in this draft.

How come you don't have Cory Joseph in your mocks? You don't think he'll come out this year?

I wish Jordan Williams was that good. Otoh, I'm glad that he's probably returning to MD - since he really wouldn't go that high. I'm surprised you have Singleton a full 7 picks lower. At least you don't play favorites. Btw, you have Singleton at 6'8 and Williams at 6'10. I think Singleton's a hair taller than Williams.

Anyway, Derrick Williams you have right. Watching him against UCLA... wow. The guy is on another level. He could be the 1st pick. Honeycutt... just too undisciplined for my tastes.

Is there a specific reason you have MN taking a PF? 'Cause that's about our last need right now...

Best player available. Also, Williams can play SF as well.

Not with Kyrie Irving on the board, he's not. I would take Kyrie a million times out of a million over Derrick Williams, especially for the Wolves who desperately need an upgrade at the Point.

Also, Williams can play SF as well.

So can Beasley, Johnson, Webster, and Brewer.

Its going to be hilarious if we draft Irving. Minnesota? Another PG? Dont they already have 6 PGs on their team? Is Kahn on crack or something??!?!?

I just hope he isnt too far up Rubio's butt to make that Irving pick if he has the chance. I have a lot more faith that Irving will be an All star than I do in Rubio. If that happens, hopefully he will actually get some good trade assets out of him

We'd get the same treatment if they take Williams. "Aren't there two best players PFs?" "Looks like Love is back to playing 10 minutes a game." Etc. Etc. Etc.

Minnesota is going to have this kind of overlap regardless of position. This is what happens when you have a lot of mostly unproven talent on a team. They feel like they are set at every position.

Minny will have to either take the BPA or really reach as the draft stands now.

Which is why they should take the only guy at the position of need, Irving. Right now, Flynn is not an NBA starter and Rubio is a complete unknown.

This is what happens when you have a lot of mostly unproven talent on a team.

Unproven everywhere except the forward spots. Love is an allstar talent (regardless of whether he makes the team or not), and Beasley is putting up 20 points and 6 rebounds per game.

Minny will have to either take the BPA or really reach as the draft stands now.

How would Kyrie be a reach? You have him being drafted one spot down. I would argue that he's the BPA as well (and he would be everywhere in this draft).

Irving makes a ton of sense, but I just do not see Minny taking another point guard. If they do, they are essencially saying they completely ruined their draft 2 years ago. They drafted 2 point guards in that draft and as far as I know, their front office still has high hopes for both.

When I am mocking this stuff I am trying to figure out what teams will do, not necessarily what they should do. Taking Irving means they are giving up on Flynn and also that they are trading Rubio. Taking Irving immediately hurts Rubio's trade value as well.

I'd be shocked if Kahn was willing to take another PG in the top 10 and essencially admit to ruining the draft 2 years ago. Not when he can hide behind the BPA arguement by taking Derrick Williams.

I want the Raps to take BPA but it would suck to take another PF when we have like 4 on the team. I would probably take Terrence Jones ahead of Sullinger in that scenario.
