Yeah, they aren't winning 80 with that lineup in this division. Too many question marks. I retract my prediction.

1. davis - speed, stole 50 last yr, and avg is lock for leadoff
2. escobar - good avg and obp to set up power bats
3. bautista - teams best hitter is 3rd, better obp than lind and hill
4. lind - depending on whos hitting better him or hill will backup bautista
5. hill
6. ee - interchangeable with riveria, near power and avg numbers for both
7. rivera
8. jpa - least proven bat, but soild potential
9. snider - same as jpa but better speed top to bottom

will be intial lineup i think, as season goes on whoever is producing will move up or down

My only requirements are that JBau hits 4th followed by Snider 5th (alternatively 3rd and 4th), and that Escobar is near the bottom (not hitting 2nd).

I have a problem with snider in 8th. In there he should be 6th

^ both ee and rivera have proven they can be 20-25 hr players with decent avg...snider just hasnt had enough major league at bats, he and jpa will be 7-9 for at least the first month or so of season...but yes i too hope they move up and produce

Rivera isn't part of our longterm plans...so I'm not worried about building his confidence

Bat him 9th...


Unless the plan is to showcase Rivera for half a season then deal him at the deadline...

No need to put that much pressure on a rookie with so many solid power bats in the lineup. Bat him 8th or 9th until he starts being consistent and then you can move him up.
