Tier #3 better than Nelson and Felton and probably above current day Billups and Miller.

So top of tier #3.

I kinda agree with BigSlam.

DJ is small, so he has negative effect of finishing around the rim. Somewhat, he has limited ability to see the court.

Anyway, he is very good ball handler and has really good shooting touch. As he has shown to us, he is capable of playing on plenty high level. I would also put him higher than Felton.

I do not count defense on this ranks.. Only offense, as DJ's defense is somewhat non-existant

Kinda agree with your ranking fats except that i'd move him to the bottom tier four/ tier five.
Lowry is obviously better than DJ. Harris as well. I think it's almost safe to say guys like Collison, Jennings, Holiday are currently ahead of him. After those, it's a mixed bag (depends whether you consider Arenas, Stuckey as points) and DJ lies probably somewhere between Calderon and Udrih.

I would put DJ in the top 10 of point guards, hes most def better then Kidd and Curry this year, and he is better then felton, but i would also put felton in the top 10.

Yeah I'm a little leery of saying that, but they're at least on the same tier right now.

DJ is looking better than Holiday, and had the same numbers as collison before Larry left. So he's got better numbers now than Collison.

your not wrong for saying that, DJ now is better then felton has ever been in his career, let alone 3 years into his career.

We're not looking at the future, we're looking at the now. And right now Felton is having his best year. DJ is certainly better than Felton was last year, but Felton has improved too. I just don't know for sure who I'd pick. But both are better than Jameer Nelson, who is solid and reliable but nothing special.

I don't know about felton being better then nelson now that I think about it, i still have nightmares of how he took the bobcats soul last year in the playoffs.

Rest of pgs...

Dust my hands off. That's how it's done folks.

If it's a matchup issue it's a matchup issue. If Felton sucks in the playoffs, he just sucks in the playoffs. But neither him nor DJ have been good in the playoffs, and haven't really had much of a chance to play in them anyway. Jameer gets props because he doesn't wilt in the playoffs like Felton did, but Felton looks like the better player right now.

put DJ on a D'antoni team and he will average 20/8. He's already averaging what 18/7? since Silas took over. Plus he has Wallace and Jax around him who miss most of their shots

Kind of funny how big the gaps in opinion are at this point. I think Fats' list looks pretty good, I might rate DJ a couple slots lower than that (for instance, I would rather have Devin Harris), but it seems about right. He's top 20, but not top 10.

Numbers don't tell everything. Collison has had trouble adapting to the pacers system (O'Brien constantly changing the rotation didn't help either) but he's looked really good at times and he defends well. As for Holiday don't let his stinky performance (the game DJ slaughtered him) fool you, he's usually much better than that. You may be right though, no one knows what DJ is capable of doing in the near future but keep in mind those two have a lot of upside as well. And for some reason, i'm conviced that DJ is already much closer to his ceiling than some others. but again, who knows.

regarding holiday ranking - you cant discount defense. it doesnt show up in stats but holiday is already an elite defensive pg, up there with rondo, hinrich and westbrook imo. that has to count for something in terms of rankings.

regarding nelson rankings - i put him higher even though his numbers dont support that ranking. nelson plays on a team with a ton of scorers. i think he could easily average 18ppg for a team that needed more offense. i also have to figure his playoff experience counts.

regarding kidd - dj is not better than kidd and will never be better than kidd, even when kidd is 50.

lets not overrate our players.

What makes u say that? Those two didn't have to deal with LB for 2 and a half years... DJ has basically been improving every week, I don't even think we are close to seeing his max potential.
