Re: Granger
The worst thing about Bell right now is just his mentality about our losing. He, along with Jefferson, took up the "who cares about the slow starts -- we're winning" argument. That is NOT what I want to hear from the guy brought in to be a smart veteran presence in the locker room.

Re: Granger
People who are saying Granger is having a bad year...
A huge part of that is O'Brien is a terrible coach. Collison, Hibbert and every other member of that team is having a terrible year too. His rotations are erratic, and his system doesn't play to anyone strengths. Granger has apparently been tuning him out in practices.
The causes of Grangers bad % is he is just being relied upon for waaaay too much of the pacers offense. He isn't a great one-on-one guy, he wants to get his points in the flow of the offense. I think he would be perfect for the Jazz's system, and Sloan / other sources of offense would make him much more efficient.
He also is pretty athletic, and a solid defender. Given the age difference, I would feel way better about him guarding the opponents clutch scorer than AK at his point. He would make the Jazz a lot better, and his shooting I think would improve our 1st quarter problems. Just my opinion though.

Re: Granger
Yeah--from looking at what the Indy fans are wanting in exchange for Granger, they have no interest in AK and filler. They want a recent 1st round pick and additional draft picks--which the Jazz don't have/won't offer.

Re: Granger
No way I'd trade Millsap for Granger, because if they are about equally effective, which they are, it will be harder to replace what Millsap does in the paint than what Granger can do on the perimeter, but AK47 for Granger is a terrible trade for Indiana, and Millsap for Granger=Jazz 8th seed at best.

Re: Granger
How does this post generate 3 pages of responses? Think of it this way, Would you trade Millsap for Tayshaun Prince? That is essentially how lopsided this trade would look to Indy. There is absolutely no reason why Indy would do AK for Granger. Someone mentioned how this trade gives Indy "flexibility". Flexibility to do what? Not like they have any chance of signing a free agent who is better than Granger. Absolutely zero reason for Indy to do this.

Uh, another reason is they have a ton of expiring contracts already. Only 34$ committed next year, which is prob good for a max free agent without giving up their best player.

The Pacers are in a tail spin of self destruction right now. Would be a great time to step in and make an offer for Granger.

It would be incredibly stupid of them to trade their best player (who likes being there) for cap space, when they already have enough cap space to make a run at someone to pair with him. There is absolutely no way Indiana would even consider AK for Granger, unless Granger demanded a trade.
