If the Heat were to get to the Finals, they would have had to go through Chicago and/or Boston and/or Orlando. For them to do that, they'd have to be pretty legit. Celtics are a better team, but they're a good matchup for us. Ron plays Pierce well. Fisher's inability to guard quick point guards is masked because he guards Allen. Kobe gets to rest, forcing Rondo to shoot. Gasol/Bynum/Odom are still better than whatever they're throwing at us up front, though they're deeper. Remember also that Tony Allen, who was absolutely vital in slowing down Kobe last year, is gone. Ray can't guard him, Rondo would get posted up every time. Delonte West and Von Wafer are scrappy but undersized. Unless Marquis Daniels is a much better defender than I'm aware of, I expect Kobe to have a big series should we play Boston.

my thoughts exactly. kobe will have a big series because where they gain in post depth, they lose out on the perimeter esp when it comes to finding backups to guard kobe, though we'll see if marquis daniels has any effect.

My thoughts exactly too. I don't understand why people want to face Lebron+Wade with a very solid front line rotation.

We match up with Boston extremely well. From our PG down to our C spot, we defend them well.

I actually agree with this. Somehow we match really up well against them. The only problem is that their frontcourt got a lot deeper.

Shaq had 6 rebounds and 4 good fouls (Kobe took advantage of shaq's body once to get and1) in 12 minutes last night... Gasol had 7rbd in 40 minutes while Bynum grabbed 6 boards in 35...

In the playoffs Doc will use Shaq's hard fouls wisely... Kobe don't get intimidated but Gasol? Not so sure anymore.

- Porkins is back and looks like he didn't lose much of his already limited athleticism...
- KG is healthy again.
- Big Pig davis is looking good. Still improving and he's wider than he ever was. He pushed bynum out of his way with only his hips! lol

Jermaine O'neal can also give them limited minutes of good D to keep Perkins fresh, still in cases of injuries that turkish guy can still help them.

Anyway, let's just hope that Celtics don't grab the first 2 spots in the east. I think they will start coasting after the ASG... Hopefully Miami, Chicago and/or Orland will surpass them.

If they go to the finals after beating:

rd1: Knicks. (D'antoni will force them to run a **** lot during the 4 games of that series)
rd2: Chicago without HCA. Damn, it was a f. tuff series last year, then imagine this year...
rd3: Miami. I don't have to say anything.

- At least 17 games.

Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics.

- Then if we face the oldies in the finals after they had this schedule and we can't beat them we better start our rebuild next year   :(
