The boston lost is only 1 game in a long 82 game season. Back away from the panic buttons. Lakers will regroup. Might not beat the Spurs. But we shall beat enough teams to get a good record. Get into the playoffs and then it is all 0-0 and the run for a 3 peat begins.

People need to understand that we are not trading any of our starters 3 months prior to the playoffs, Unless is a steal of epic proportions. Not even fisher, seriously.

We could go after Carmelo's expiring contract. :D Seems like Denver blew their chances of getting a lot of value with Carmelo after the Nets gave up. Knicks wont give them much of anything since they know Carmelo wants to join them anyway...

So... We take carmelo this year and next year he can go to the knicks!!! A man can dream! :D

Anyway, as someone said Pau isn't aging well and will look like **** soon enough. We should trade him in the next off season.

Should something happen? Tougher question. Moves should definitely be explored now though. Depending on what's available and depending on how the rest of the year plays out, a move should definitely be considered after the year is over.

That's all I'm saying.

You came in pitching an idea to move Pau Gasol to the bench before last season and now you want to trade him. There's absolutely no reason to take you seriously in this matter.

I still think Gasol should be our McHale-like sixth man ... that hasn't changed.

If you don't feel me ... cool ... but don't try to act like your opinion is somehow better than mine.

I think that anyone that comes on here to insult someone without any intelligent reasoning is a jackass fanatic with deep rooted insecurities masked through arrogant nonsensical insults ... but that's just me.

I've said a lot over the years and stand by them 100%, whether right or wrong.

But for the record I've been right a strong majority of the time.

I took a slaying when I said that the Lakers should let Walton go instead resigning him after his breakout year about four years ago. Everyone said I shouldn't be taken seriously then too.

I took a beating in Farmar's rookie year when I said Farmar would never be able to play PG for Phil Jackson. Everyone here said that I shouldn't be taken seriously.

After we lost to the Celtics in the Finals I said that Gasol would be tremendous as a sixth man (like McHale). That was crazy too. Ginobli can come off the bench, but Gasol can't? But I'm crazy.

Everyone said I was crazy when I said that LBJ would come to LA and gladly play with Kobe. They said that LBJ would never play with another superstar. Kupchak definitely dropped the ball as far as I'm concerned.

But again I'm crazy.

If nothing I say should be taken serious, then my question is, who the hell are you?

Yet another poster who says absolutely nothing with regard to fixing inherent problems.

I have absolutely no doubt that everything I say (no matter how "out the box" it may be) is backed up with sound reason. I wish I could say the same about you. I think I'm just over your head homie. My limitless thinking confuses your jailed brain.

Intelligence has been known to do that to simple minds like yours Slav.

Have to be honest..Gasol is still a major wimp in how he goes into games compared to Garnett. I remember reading an article last year that said Pau loves trying to embarrass Garnett with his play now but I did not see any of that yesterday.

I didn't even read the thread but this topic title is a joke. Pau gasol is amazing and won us back 2 back championships. He's not playing well right now but that's no reason to trade him and blow up your team. This is just silly!!

I wouldn't want Pay traded, I would rather just have him toughen up & if he can't then maybe, but it would have to be something that makes total sense. As far as Bynum I don't think anyone views him as a #1 option at this point. I'm sure he's the future means pieces around him as well, but you never know what a guy can do until given the opportunity.

You might as well bold @NY and @Charlotte as well, because those will be tough games. Knicks are pretty strong at home this year, and the Bobcats could be win-less and still give us the fight of our lives. They have given us nothing but problems over the years.

Honestly I would trade Bynum for Josh Smith straight up.

move Smith to the pf spot. It will give Gasol more room to operate. Bynum and Gasol do not mesh like how I think they should. I know I might get backlash for this. But I just don't think the Bynum/Gasol combo is going to work out. The Lakers really need to get more athletic to compete.

But i think the problem with Gasol right now is he is not tough enough. This trade would send away our only TRUE center, forcing pau to play more minutes at center. Who knows how beat up pau would get like this. Doesn't anyone remember the first couple games that bynum came back? People were laughing at the fact that we wanted to trade bynum earlier. He made life a whole lot easier for pau, no way i would consider trading him right now, UNLESS we get a good pg/c package out of it.

Seems like Lakers fan are buying into this Lakers play "Hollywood" in the regular season and then step up big in the playoffs. Why can't you people realize we are losing badly against every elite team?? Last two years we lost to weak non playoff teams that we didn't care about because we wouldn't of faced them in the playoffs. On top of that we use to looove these high profile games and usually come out on top. Now we are losing to elites that WE WILL SEE IN THE PLAYOFFS. Get real people something big is about to happen with our team. I know for a fact before the deadline somebody is gonna be gone from our team.

It's not a joke. The Lakers had the easiest schedule in the first half of the season. They did not take advantage of it.
