But again, I'm not fan of it..

(1) Salary does not match.
(2) GSW cannot trade 1st round until 2015 or when NJ gets their protected 1st rd first.

1) I said, Wright, Udoh, 1st and FILLER.. That filler would be expiring, lets say Gadzuric who has around 7 mill expiring contract, so it would match..

2) Golden State is owing 2012 1st round pick to New Jersey (top 7 protected in the 2012 Draft). I don't see it being within 7 though.. So we could get 2013 1st probably..

It can be done, easily.. But anyway I don't like it..

Probably getting greedy with the 1st. Wright, Udoh, and expirings is a pretty good deal. Warriors fans here have rejected simply Wright and expirings for Iguodala, if that means anything.

No interest in Biedrins who would likely be an upgrade at C?

First. Cannot trade back to back years for 1st rd picks.

Second. Warriors' conditional pick is 2012, 2013 top 7 protected, and then top 6 protected. 2014 ends up to be 2 2nd rd if it is still conditional.

So the only player of real interest to me would be Dorrell Wright, who has great size for a 3 and can hit the outside shot well... but I still would never move Iggy for him.

I've always liked Biedrins, ever since we had a chance to sign him in the summer we got Brand. I see he is having an off season, but if we could get him and Wright for Iggy, I'd swing that trade.

Raptor fan here. I was wondering what direction your team is going in. Have you guys given up on Thad young? Ino he's been getting more burn as of late but with the iggy rumors, is he going to slide into the 3spot after? Is he a core part of the 76ers?

I wouldn't do Biedrins for expiring.

He's had health concerns. He's positively regressed the past 2 seasons. He cannot make a free throw if it would Kill Don Nelson. He cannot do anything but rebound (Opposing centers outscore him by over 9 points for instance, averaging 20 and 14 with a PER of 19.7, so don't try and say his D is good.) He averages over 5 fouls per 36 on his career and this season.

And he's owed 27 million after this season.

Biedrins isn't the most appealing of centers for this team but he does have size. I would probably ask him to start a new hairstyle because the one he has now is the exact one my grandfather from Poland had in his 1934 Navy picture. Other than that Biedrins can block shots, and can rebound the ball pretty well when he wants. He had a nice game against the Jazz last night and I see the promise in his game, it just hasnt gotten consistant.

Biedrins... Prior to last week, 11 made free throws in his last 1700+ minutes played. That's 1 FT made every 150 minutes. Not exactly what I want from my starting 10M+ center.

So he can't ever get to the line... but he also has made a gradn total of 5 shots beyond 10 feet in his entire NBA career (9500 minutes.) (Shot location stats per hoopsdata.com)

So you have a player who literally almost never has scored outside 10 feet. He lives around the rim... and yet he makes a FT once every 150 minutes he plays.

I know he has his strengths, but his weaknesses are crazy bad for a 10M player.

And still really bad for a 9 million a year player (in before the GS chorus).

Honestly, I wouldn't take him for Songalia + Kapono, at this point his flaws aren't improving. Maybe if we were OKC and just needing a little more from the center; but I wouldn't hold my breath on OKC biting on that either (money).

Biedrins was a guy I liked three years ago. He is not that guy now. His d and rebounding used to make up for his lack of offense and he didn't take shots he couldn't make. Now his D is bad, his board work is declining, he has injuries and his team is crying out for a center. That is all you need to know.

Udoh, who I don't really love, is the big guy I ask for, plus Dorrell Wright. Take back Charlie Bell's useless contract if needed and give them Hawes. Fill in on both sides with expirings and I see a possible deal.

If we want to build a mediocre team, we trade Iggy for the likes of Wright and Udoh. If we want to build a winning team, we stick to our guns and try to capitalize on a team who is desperate of improving. Or finally, we just keep Iguodala who is his self again and contributing big time.

I like Wright and Udoh so it seems like a fair trade. Wright did come out of nowhere this year and Udoh hasn't really done anything yet. Funny how when Iggy plays good nobody wants to trade him, but as soon as we lose he needs to be traded asap.

To be fair, having a very short memory is vital to being a Sixer fan. It helps keeps things bearable.

Iggy and Brand for expirings + Udoh and Bell + rights to swap picks 2011. This is the type of deal I could see go down between our 2 teams if our owners are willing like they say they are to take a big risk to move up. Philly would have to be 100% committed to rebuilding to consider this but were 2 teams pretty much sitting at the same spot in the league so theres only 2 ways to go for both of us.

Minnesota fan here, just read way too many pages to remember where I saw this, but someone threw out:

Wes and Pek for Iggy. Someone else added the UTAH 1st to that equation. I wondered what most PHI fans would think of such a swap?

Also, someone mentioned do whatever it takes to get Love, but I just don't think Kahn would trade him for anywhere near fair value. Fans Love him and the little bit of notoriety he actually brings to our squad.

Lastly, I'm curious what you all think would be a fair trade for PHI-MIN, because I think we have the assets (/complete lack of a winning culture) to be an attractive trade partner for just about anyone.

Thanks

LOL

I was never in support of any Iguodala trade and I am sure there were also a number of other guys who had the same view towards this. In general, people who support Iguodala are less inclined to change their opinion and are more sober (if I don't generalize too much).

Wright and Udoh is freaking terrible. We are not a football team, where a team can be composed of many good players and where depth is more important. In the NBA you need key players to make a team relevant.

It really appears that we are the ONLY fanbase where a quite considerable amount of people are in favor of crap deals for their best players. How about we offer Indiana something in the line of Songaila, Kapono and Young for Granger. I am sure all of them would jump on it.

Wright, Udoh and Expirings for Iggy is a good deal for the Sixers unless you have a way of bringing in a go to scorer, shooters and a couple of bigs some other way.

Wright is not the defender Iggy is, but he is a decent one with considerable length and athleticism for the position. He is a better shooter, especially from outside, can finish on the break, is younger and very reasonably paid for the next several years. He fits well IF Turner develops into what we are all hoping he can be.

Udoh is a defensive minded big with moderate upside. If a team can't have a single dominant big, then the next best thing is to have waves of pretty good big players who can wear the other team out. Udoh, Brand and Speights, plus add someone in the draft or FA and you have a very serviceable big man corps. The expirings give the team room to re-sign Thad and some breathing room against the tax which can be helpful wehn trades come down the pike later.

I like Iggy, but he isn't a great player, just a very good one. This trade works on the premise that Turner and Holiday are the future of the team and that surrounding them with good players of the same age bracket is the way to go. The funny thing is that you will find a lot of people who think this trade is asking way too much for Iggy. When I posted it a few weeks ago that was the general response I received. I see it a lot like the Stackhouse for McKie/Ratliff type of deal.
