Who does Jazz nation want to see traded?
With a team playing well under expectations, not just record wise, but effort wise as well. As Jazz fans who would all of you guys like to see traded? Who do you guys think are hurting the Jazz most right now?
Personally, and I know a lot of people will disagree with this, but I think the biggest problem with this roster is CJ. I know we have a plethora of problems, but I think the biggest problem is CJ and his free love for any and every shot he comes across. For instance last game CJ and Hayward are on a 2-1 fast break, and CJ had an easy pass to Hayward for a layup but instead he took it to the defender for a difficult layup. Given CJ did make this layup and it was a highlight play, but I don't think CJ's selfish play is good for the team. Personally I would LOVE to see CJ moved elsewhere.

This thread needs a poll with multiple selections allowed.
I'd vote for Miles and Hayward. But I'd be happy to part with Okur, Bell, and even Millsap if the right big man was available.

In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

Millsap and Bell are on my list, as is CJ. Would want a power forward that is less redundant with Jefferson and a scoring wing - Kevin Martin being the number one target. I also would not mind trading Memo.

I was thinking about this today and wondering if the Jazz could've made essentially the same deal the Rockets made with the Kings and Knicks, but substituting Millsap for Landry and AK for McGrady. It would've netted the Jazz Kevin Martin and a 1st-round draft pick.
Would've sounded horrible at the time, but I'd be much happier right now had they made that deal.
Edit: NM, I was forgetting that AK wouldn't expire until this Summer (obviously) and therefore wouldn't have fit in with the Knicks' goals of having 2 max slots. Still, it is the TYPE of trade the Jazz could conceivably make this year, assuming there are teams out there interested in expiring contracts (which may or may not be true).

I agree, we need to consider all possibilities in order to truly help the team. I would move CJ, AK, and Fes.

I agree. I don't know how to do it. If anyone knows how and wants to post that in place of my post, I would love to see a poll.

We need someone who has heart. I don' t see that in many of our players.

Hate me if you want but Millsap is the guy to trade.
Not that I want to see him go but he is one of the only (if not the only) tradable piece on this team.
For the record, I feel as if AK is untouchable at this point. I use to be on the wagon for trying to trade him for something but he is too valuable to this team in more than one way.

I understand the logic there. However, I also think it would be incredibly difficult to get someone as efficient as Millsap at the contract he has. I would like to see the Jazz move away from the PG/PF oriented offense we have had for so long, and implement more of a triangle offense. This would cover a lot off Millsap's size issues. Bringing in a scoring wing, who can create his own shot, seems like the way to go.
Look at every elite team, they all have scoring wings who can create their own shot. Lakers-Kobe, Celtics-Pierce, Orlando-Hedo/Carter/Gilbert, Miami-LeBron/Wade, Spurs-Manu, Dallas-Dirk(Dirk is a "big", but plays as more of a wing). Even teams on the cusp of elitism: OKC-Durant, Nuggs-Melo.

Re: Who does Jazz nation want to see traded?
Before the Jazz do anything I'd like to see them experiment with the lineup I proposed in the other thread: Millsap off the bench, Jefferson at the starting 4 and CJ starting at 2.
As frustrating as he is sometimes I think CJ can be that scoring wing. If he can't be that guy then the Jazz are going to have to give something up to get that guy, and that someone is most likely Millsap.

AK is our priciest asset (?). His game has never expanded past the help the team every tenth game, he has no outside shot, and he loafs when not involved offensively.

Hayward because you think he might have a little trade value or because you just want him gone? He's one of the last guys I'd wanna ship out, personally.
Agree about CJ. Earlier in the year, I called him "garbage," then explained it was hyperbole. It's feeling less and less like hyperbole with each game. The guy just doesn't get it.

Who in the world is taking Bell, Fesenko or Price? Those guys only get included in a deal if it's necessary to massage the incoming/outgoing salary requirements.

A little of both. Hayward has trade value, I wouldn't mind seeing him go, plus our depth chart would handle it well. Evans may be better and have a higher ceiling, plus he is paid less.

I don't see Evans' ceiling as being higher. What's his best-case scenario, David Benoit?

Re: Who does Jazz nation want to see traded?
If we clear out CJ too, that leaves us with just AK and sort of Evans (Sloan sees him as a PF). Not sure who we'd be getting back in these trades, but I hope they're wings who can play big minutes in that scenario.
I like Evans and want him to play more, but he's really raw. Hayward is a much more skilled and complete player, in my opinion. At this stage of his development, I don't think Jeremy can handle/succeed playing 25-30 minutes a night.

I agree. Half his points come off that "early-oop" which only works because teams don't scout against our dreaded Earl Watson to Jeremy Evans offense.
I've yet to see him shoot a jumper, much less make one. I'm not saying it hasn't happened, but every time I've seen him get the ball at the top of the key he doesn't even threaten to shoot or drive.
He's tall and he can jump and he has a nose for the ball, but that's all I've seen so far. (Oh, and he can sort of draw. Sort of).
