It's not a joke. The Lakers had the easiest schedule in the first half of the season. They did not take advantage of it.

They are 2nd in the west with the team playing crappy as they are now. And the spurs are on some magical carpet ride right now. 40 WINS jeez. Take a regular season for the spurs and were 1st right now. If we dont get bogut, howard, i dont see the point.

Since the beginning of the season this team hasnt been healthy. We had to deal with the knee surgeries of Kobe and Bynum, plus Bynum being out an extended period of time. While all of that was going on Gasol was carrying us, and now he's exhausted. All of the elite teams have been running full cylinder no other team had their best player come off surgery and an important big come off surgery and slowly work his way back into form this season. This team will have it's **** together come playoff time, and all those sheep you see posting in the GB kicking us while we're down will be the first ones to say "I knew the Lakers would turn it on, it was just a matter of time". Just because ESPN is starting to lose faith, doesn't mean you should start as well. We trade Gasol away we sure as hell don't win anything. All we need is a rested, motivated team and we're good. Silly topic is silly. All this overreaction as to even mention trading away one of our most important pieces is amusing.

The regular season for lakers is defintley up and down and makes me angry at times. I want to say lets just the playoffs already but dam... not when we get blown out on our floor by a elite team. The spurs are the best in the west so from hear on out we should really be looking how to beat the spurs in a series. And Toughness is a big key to victory.. Step up your game pau!

The trade proposals I see in this thread is amazing, after all these years of ball you'd think guys would understand the unwritten rule of not trading big for small.........you never, ever, ever do it period.

As far as Pau, some of you guys need to lose the sentimental lust for him. He's just as tradeable as anybody else in the league. Hell there's really only 4 untouchables in this league....Kobe, LeBron, Wade and Dwight period. If you ain't them you can be traded.

Like it or not, Pau wont be traded, period. The rest of the team is made up of un-tradable contracts so dont waste your breath wishing - and its not like we are going to get something worth value for brown, his contract is too small in comparison to what we need in order to fill the voids of this team.

i would rather sit pau for 10 games, have him hit the gym, get his legs under him again and then come back strong. we all know what he is capable of, he just needs to get back into shape.

they all played like ****...to me that game was lost, when bynum let perkins? or davis? go right around him for an and 1...that was game...it was winnable right until that play...5 point swing with 5 minutes to go...

pau played like asss too, but was no better or worse than any other player on the lakers squad...its ok...as isaid while watching the game, they will beat us here, well beat them there...que sara sara...

Pau isn't getting traded, but he's playing like he wants to leave. Simply put, if Gasol keeps playing like this the team is not going anywhere.

Aww no not going to happen. Got to remember that the loss was one of 82 games the team plays. The C's played well and they got the win. Now we must focus on the next one and go from there and hope we beat the rockets and spurs.

i wont be panicking until a team is plain bigger and more talented than us.

until that happens, the title still runs through LA and if game 7 of the 2010 playoffs didnt prove that we have the heart of champions, then maybe you guys need to down half a stick of vodka and stress less

Well we got slapped by the Celtics with our great front court so I think the front court excuse is gone

If and when we do start entertaining trade ideas, I guarantee you they'll revolve around Bynum. I'm still down for a CP3/Okafor for Bynum/Odom deal in the off-season, then pick up another big via MLE. :)

What about Bynum + Artest for Carmelo?

Nuggets want cap relief and 1st round picks. They don't want to take back salary with Artest.

Nothing going to happen.
