And this is what I don't get.

It was never Lopez' fault, it was Harris' inability or refusal to run the pick and roll.

Devin ran it to perfection with the Hump a bunch of times as well and with Favors on a few occasions.

Out of nowhere suddenly Harris is an expert at running the pick and roll, what gives?

We have seen him run it quite well in 2008-09, although Vince initiated a majority of them.

So this is why I want Devin gone, or if possible in the 6xth man role.

Having a career game and simply running the pick and roll at a high level one game out of every 30 is unacceptable and shows he has the ability, but for some reason refuses to.

A lot of this has to go on Avery, who calls a lot of the plays, but so they said last night, Avery supposedly trusts Harris nowadays and is allowing him to quarterback and call most of the plays in the halfcourt, although I think this is half bull ****, half scapegoating.

But, point being, you don't suddenly have an epiphany and magically become able to run the pick and roll, it's obvious Devin's good at it and more of less decides not to utilize it.

My favorite parts of the game were 2 times after the whistle Melo went up to lay the ball in and Hump swatted him.

I loved that from Hump, going hard at a block well after the whistle, especially on Melo.

Its a real head scratcher, isn't it. If Devin could play like this more often I'd me more than satisfied with his play. And its not even that he got 18 assists, but the way he was running the pick and roll as you said. If I were Avery I'd encourage him to continue to do that more often. Whether its true or not that he's letting Harris call his own plays, he's got to do what's best for the team.
