If Udoh had more upside, a #6 pick and reasonable contract would be fine. But as far as I can tell, Uduh was a sizable reach at where he was picked, and looks more likely to be a rotation player than an impact starter. Maybe he turns it around, and I will be the first to admit I'm not a professional scout, but Monroe, Davis, George all look more promising as theoretical return packages. For any sort of package like this to work, Philly would need to feel much much better about Udoh than I do.

Iguodala is the top 2-3 player from his draft year, a perfect complementary player to a star (and paid like that) in his early prime. I wouldn't trade that without the chance of getting something back as good, and Udoh (although injured) hasn't shown that.

I don't know if we can get anyone for Iguodala who will be as good as him.

responding to the minny fan... i truly do not believe iggy is a good fit on your team. If love and beasley are in the future for you guys, then you are playing iggy at the 2 and he simply does not shoot well enough to be a 2. Beasley at the 3 does not make up for it either.

That being said, a package around wesley johnson or love for iggy works for me. I don't think something around beasley works because while he is playing better this year, he still is inconsistent and I think he is due to get paid right?

Another possibility is jumping off the rubio ship while you can in a 3 way deal. Rubio goes to team X, iggy to minny and team x sends a package to the sixers.

As far as GS goes, either we dump brand and iggy for expiring deals plus a crap contract like bell going our way or its a 3 way deal. Udoh and wright plus saving a bit of money do nothing for me because we still have no flexibility and neither of those 2 guys will develop to be a stud

There are different views on Udoh and I try to take the middle road to think that he will be a defensive specialist who can board and be a solid rotation big man. Some people really like him, others think he will be a bust. I agree about him being a reach at 6. The best deal is one for Stevenson or Granger. By that I mean Turner and Iggy are very much alike and so are Granger and Stevenson. Mixing and matching between the four would make for a better balance for both teams.

BTW, for those who hated the idea of trying to get Gortat from Orlando, he is 13.5ppg/10.5rpg/1.1bpg on 63% FG and 92% FT in his last 8 games in Phoenix. He's not dominant, but he is starting to show what he can do with minutes.

If I'm Phila I consider a trade with GSW if and only if they take back Brand along with Iguodala.

I know you all are chasing the playoffs but if GSW take Brand and Iguodala off your hands (even if it means Phila taking back Biedrens); I think you can't pass up the over 20 million a year in savings.

You give up the playoff run by dumping Brand and Iguodala, but you'd get ridiculous financial flexibility (the only large deals left on the roster would be Turner, Lou Williams, Nocioni, Biedrens, and Charlie Bell).

On a side note: How dumb was that Dalembert (for Nocioni and Hawes) trade?

You should take a trip to the Warrior board sometime.

I would much rather have Brand for another 2 years than take on Biedrins. That guy is a complete liability on offense and late in games and never progressed to earn that contract like they thought. Brand is the better player today and has the shorter contract. Not close.

The warriors board is almost completely in favor of an Iggy for Ellis deal. My first choice in any deal would be draft picks and rookie contract players but if thats not possible I would definitely swap Iggy for Ellis.

Trading Iguodala to upgrade the overall roster/future Sixers is something they still need to consider.

iguodala for Wright/Udoh/expiring and #1 is something to consider (depending on your source, Udoh was pretty high on many boards).

Iguodala would be a perfect fit in Minneapolis...Wesley/Pekovic isn't a bad swap.

I'm sure other rumors will swirl over the next few weeks, but just b/c he is playing very well right now doesn't make him untouchable. This team still needs some pieces, and Iguodala is probably the most valuable piece right now.

There is nothing except a wiretap stating that GS is interested in Iggy. Everything else is message board speculations.

You can forget that #1 from the Dubs, that has to be held for the nets protected pick till 2012/2013

GSW/Philly if they want a trade done would have to collaborate a deal that would be good for both teams.

Philly would have a pick of Udoh (rookie)/Ellis (young explosive talent /Bwright (Young expiring )/D.Wright/Radmanovic (expiring), Bell ( scrub 2yrs ), Gadz ( expiring ), Curry ( doubt he'd get included) and Biedrins.

Add the Clippers. Iguodala for Kaman (moved to a third team) & Aminu is something I'd consider. This would make the Clippers a pretty good club with a very nice future.
