For Clippers there getting major cap relief and getting more minutes for their young guys to come together with the team. Why wouldn't they say yes they get out of b.diddy's contract and kaman's and don't 4get the TPE along with getting barganani who can score for them and doesn't get injured as much as kaman but can do a lot more offensively than jordan.

Raptors list of rookies should be PJ3, Lillard, Rivers, Waiters, or Harkless.
I say draft Lillard, Waiters, or Harkless.

Granger is worth waaaaaaay more than that.

The sentiment to trade for Granger is worth noting. I would rather have him on the outside paired with Derozan. Trade Bargs for him.

+ 100000000

I'd rather keep Weems and Amir and move Bargs for Granger.

I agree this is a good trade with bargs and granger but the trade would be better something like this check the link http://basketball.realgm.com/tradecheck ... de/5828821

Trade ID #5828821

if the Pacers would do Bargnani for Granger (which i HIGHLY doubt they would), id take it and run far far away and never look back

id love something like (trying to give more value to IND)

To TOR: Foster + D.Jones + Granger
To IND: Barbosa + Bargnani + Evans + Miami 1st

Calderon / Bayless
Derozan / Weems / Jones
Granger / Klezia / Wright
Davis / Johnson / Dorsey
Foster / Ajincia / Alabi

RO, I have a trade idea but I need you to make it work.

Basic idea of the trade is Toronto facilitating Melo to Chicago.

Chicago would land Melo/Barbosa
Denver would land Kleiza/package from Chicago
Toronto lands Deng.

Got any ideas to make it work?

well because we used our TE to absorb Ajincia it dropped down to 10.7 million. We have about 2-4 million before we hit luxury tax so all deals need to consider that aspect. To get Deng Toronto needs to send out a minimum of

8,940,000 to make it work under the CBA. Linas Klezia + Reggie Evans makes that work.

so the frame work would need to be

To TOR: Deng
To CHI: Anthony
To DEN: Klezia + Evans + CHI package (JJ, Gibson, Bulls picks, ect)

what i think could work for DEN is (if they want picks)

To TOR: Deng
To CHI: Anthony
To DEN: Klezia + Evans + Gibson + James Johnson + Bulls 2011 1st + Bobcats 2012 1st + Miami 2011 1st

this gives you a more clear idea of it

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=4sm8te7

with 3 picks being sent to Denver. Bulls could even add their 2013 1st if they wanted. Dont know whats enough for Denver though.

if you want to add Barbosa it becomes a really huge deal with a bunch of players

for CHI to absorb both Barbosa + Anthony they need to send out 19,260,000 in order to make it work. Deng is 11.3 million so you need to add another 7.9 to get that done. (Gibson 1.1, Johnson 1.7, Watson 3.5, Bogans 1.6) would work.

so something like

To TOR: Deng + Watson + Bogans
To CHI: Anthony + Barbosa
To DEN: Klezia + J.Johnson + Gibson + 3/4 picks (see above)
4th Team: Wright + Cash + future 2nd

4th team comes in to absorb Wright. See this to get a clearer picture. Wright comes paid for by a team for a future 2nd or something.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=6bdktna

That would allow TOR to stay under the tax. DEN would drop 10 million, which is 20 million in luxury tax savings and would need another 3 million to dip under tax.

so there you go :P

ESPN has us at 64 mill, so I thought we would have atleast 6 mill or so before the tax.

Is it possible to sneak in a Barbosa/Jr Smith/Brewer swap? Barbosa to Chi, Brewer to Denver, and JR to Tdot?

i just revised my original post so see what you think of that. Ideally you want the least amount of players possible and you want DEN sending out the most to dip below tax

Hoopshype has us at 67, Sham has us at 66.8

What do you guys think of

To TOR: Clark + Green
To NOH: Dorsey + Barbosa
To ORL: Smith

Paul / Jack
Belinelli / Barbosa
Ariza / Pondexter
West / Dorsey
Okafor / DJ

I think can really make some noise

Orlando gets a big

We get younger and save 5.4 million next year which gives us max cap room. Clark is a young SF that might workout here

Calderon / Bayless
Derozan / Weems / Green
Klezia / Clark / Wright
Johnson / Davis / Evans*
Bargnani / Ajincia / Alabi

^^ I'd do it, Clark's young enough and if he can really play SF (it looked like he could at Louisville), he certainly has some intriguing length and athleticism for the position. I guess it depends on whether NOH is willing to move Green's expiring for Barbosa. Of course Kleiza would either need to be traded or have some continued injury setbacks for Clark to get any significant playing time here.

Trade 1:
To Minnesota-
Andrea Bargnani
Jose Calderon
Julian Wright
2nd round pick

To Toronto-
Darko Milicic
Wesley Johnson
Johnny Flynn

Minny Upgrades their starting PG and C over Ridnour and Darko.
Toronto gets younger.

Trade 2-
To NY-
Alexis Ajinca
1st round pick(Miami)

To Toronto-
Anthony Randolph

Randolph will never crack the rotation in NY who picks up an expiring and a pick
Toronto gets younger and gives the talented kid a chance.

Raps Roster:

C- Milicic/Davis/Alabi
PF- A.Johnson/Randolph/Evans
SF- Derozan/Kleiza/Weems
SG- W.Johnson/Weems/Barbosa
PG- Bayless/Flynn/T.Johnson

Raps also look for a new home for Barbosa and continue to tank. Looking for a star in this upcoming draft, the Raps move forward with better pieces to build around IMO.

OR ... a few alterations from my previous post that will allow the Raps to keep their #1 pick this year, while still acquiring Curry:

Trade #1

To GSW:
Bargnani
DeRozan
Davis
Calderon

To Tor:
Curry
Lee
Gadzuric

Trade #2

To Pho:
Amir
Klezia
Bayless
Wright
Miami #1 (2011)
Toronto #2 (2011)

To Tor:
Lopez
Dudley
Childress
Warrick

2011-12 Toronto Roster:
Curry
Weems
Dudley
Lee
Lopez

Barbosa
Childress
Warrick
Evans
Dorsey
Alabi
2011 #1 Pick (probably Top 5)

LOL at swapping rosters...

I don't think any trade ideas on this page are realistic at all.

It'll probably take an overhaul to erase the stink of losing.

Sure, it's not very realistic, but I can dream. I'd love to have Curry here.

Bargs+Weems+Dorsey for Speights+Young+Songaila

We get a solid young SF in Young who is athletic, rebounds well and is pretty efficient putting up an 18.2 PER this year (with a 105 DRtg as well). Having his bird rights could allow us to resign him cheaper than we could if we were trying to go after him as an RFA. Speights is young, has a good offensive game, and will rebound/defend better than Bargnani (which I guess isn't saying much). With some luck we'll be able to draft Irving, and can go after an FA center (ideally DeAndre imo, but Marc Gasol/Perkins/Nene/Chandler/Dalembert could be other options). I'd try to push for a Miami/Philly pick swap too, but I don't know if that's too much.

Perhaps we'd look something like this next year:

DeAndre/Speights
Ed/Amir
Young/Kleiza
DD/Barbosa?
Kyrie/Bayless

i dont think trading Bargnani is realistic (even though id do that deal) no matter how much people want him gone (and thats not directed towards you)

I know it's not realistic. I was just playing around on trade machine going through every team looking for reasonable Bargs trades we could make (and there are quite a few imo). It really is depressing that it won't happen, despite his offensive talent we see how much we have to overcompensate for Bargs when he's on the floor. Watching our promising rookie sit on the bench late in the game when he was playing so well was just frustrating I guess.

It is but I think with a defensive C + moving Calderon and getting a better defending SF we would be solid. My ideal off-season has always been

- Dump Barbosa
- Draft Kyrie Irving
- Draft Alec Burks (Miami) or a backup SG that can hit the 3 and defend
- Sign Jeff Green to 10.5 million with raises (offer OKC our TE). If they match (doubt it) offer money to Wilson Chandler
- re-sign Weems to a 2 million dollar deal (for Demar)
- Trade Calderon for Center (example if SAC drafts a wing, sign and trade with SAC for Dalembert)

Irving / Bayless
Derozan / Weems / Burks
Green / Klezia
Bargnani / Davis
Dalembert / Johnson / Alabi

Pretty solid defensively and would compliment Bargnani nicely.

I think Kaman is available now. With him having such a high cap hit though its gonna look like a lot from us to give up. I think it would look summin like

Trade ID #5830478

Toronto out - Barbosa + Julian + Ed davis

Toronto in - Chris Kaman

I think they would also bite with Ed davis + TPE + miami pick. But I wanted to use the TPE to upgrade our wing somehow.
