Official Thread - Wiz at Hornets (2/1/11)

.

Don't know if I'll have time to come back and pretty this up. But wanted to at least start a thread.

Can the Wiz snag their first road win? This represents the second of a back-to-back and the fourth game in five nights for YOUR Washington Wizards.

I have a new system for watching road games. I watch the first three quarters and then turn it off. It's much less frustrating that way.

Cool, so the wiz must be something like 10-14 on the road by that standard...

David West and Marco Belinelli are my candidates to go off on us.

I have a funny feeling, too, miller. This is a turnaround day. Yesterday, I was thinking they get spanked today.

Now, I think Blatche likes going against Okafor. The Wizards really have been getting jobbed by refs. NO doesn't have a plethora of bigs--David West is no better than Zebo Randolph. Not as dominating a rebounder.

This one is a definite MAYBE SO. Wall being named Rookie of the Month will boost his confidence, and I think he will show up.

Monty Williams, Hornets coach, is a PG County guy. He went to Oxon Hill HS before Notre Dame and the NBA.

I bet you anything he's a Bullets/Wizards fan.

Was this emoticon really necessary?

A simple LOL would have sufficed.

We can tag team. I'll turn it on in the 4th and cuss for 45 minutes. I'll record my yelling in case you want to know how the game turned out.

Oh, a betting man. You think he'd throw the game? Just looking for an edge here.

No, that's how rumors get started. :) I'm just hoping for mercy, monte. Maybe if the Wizards really bring it and his team's not up for the fight ... I'm just saying ... I look for any kind of edge....

On a serious tip, Paul dogged out Wall once before--(he picked a number, like 2 or 3, in the long line among NBA PGs who have taken it to Wall)--but I'm thinking shock value has to leave at some point. Wall should be more angry or ready than intimidated this time. I'm hoping he believe he's rookie of the month today. I really think Wall could show up today.

The guy that worries me this game, besides Belinelli, is Marcus Thornton. Big-time scorer. But OTOH, Nick should get his today.

If Young brings it and Wall holds his own, this is a winnable game for sure.

You have to feel better about their chances if Wall is going to D up like that again tonight. Hopefully he can bring it two nights in a row.

The fact that Yi found his manhood last night is just gravy.

Play the same line ups as last night with Nick shooting better, a few more FTs made and the refs not sucking ass and we have a chance. Now if AT can bring that driving power drive and some rebounds, even better. Add less fouls from Book and McGee and we could blow them out.

This team doesn't lack talent. They are just young, inexperienced, they have been injured and the refs give them no love.

Cherry on the top would be Kirk recovering from his injury and adding Howard.

Imagine last night team with all those improvement. There is still some ball to watch this year. I just hope the board can handle it if they actually start winning more.

Dray didnt used to shoot so off balance like that. Where he found that shot, I wish he would lose it.

So Okafor's injury a blessing in disguise for the Hornets?
