HB went up strong to draw the foul i like that. Marshall's lop to Henson reminds me of Wall to Mcgee!

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Irving or Barnes for me. I just cant help but think of Barnes/Derozan on the wings. Its too deadly and compliments eachother so nicely.

I'd prefer HB over PJ...at least HB has the scoring mentality. PJ is way too soft.
I have yet to see Perry J play. But I hear good things. This is my 3-4 game watching Barnes. He's gotten better as the season rolled on. Why people were calling him a bust is beyond me. But dude has game. Just needed time to put it together.

Yeah I gotta agree. After watching this game Barnes has redeemed himself in my eyes. Him and DD would be very promising.

If HB can repeat the same performance against Duke, then he should consider declaring this year for sure he'll climb back up to top 5 for sure. Even push for top 3 if he can do that in final 6-7 games

Re: Official Raptors 2011 NBA Draft Thread, Part 2
the raptors need a legitimate outside threat on the wing to compliment derozan. from what i've seen of the jones's, they're more of slashers than anything else which kind of clashes with dd's skillset. i think irving would be more benefitial for the team as a whole, but if he's off the board when we're on the clock i'd be more than happy to take HB

Barnes is shooting well again...7-10 from field and 3-3 from three to go along with 5 boards. Maybe it's time to get him some more looks Roy.

If Cle takes Irving, I could still see Minny or Sac take Barnes if he continues to play well, so we need to get that #2 spot.

Re: Official Raptors 2011 NBA Draft Thread, Part 2
This is my 2nd consecutive game watching Barnes. I'm getting more and more comfortable that he should be our guy. He's just such a rounded player with the defense, rebounding, shooting & scoring.
I really think that he and DD would compliment each other's games so well.
In fact I think in the long term Bayless, DD & Barnes would be a top flight 1-2-3 combo for us.

Definitely, especially HB's a very very good catch and shoot and is a sweet smooth spot up shooter, both jones don't play like HB, they look like they need the ball in their hand alot in order to be effective.

Barnes should make a bigger impact on the team than Irving would right away since we're at least mediocre at the point with Jose and Bayless, but we really stink at the 3. Hopefully we can then sign a veteran defensive center.

DeRozan-Barnes would be a breath of fresh air combo after years of Joey Graham, Jamario Moon, Sonny Weems, Jason Kapono, Hedo Turkoglu, Jorge Garbajosa, Anthony Parker, Carlos Delfino and Antoine Wright holding down the wing positions.

if we can secure that top draft pick in irving/barnes or even one of the jones's, bc should be really aggressive in securing a veteran bigman either through free agency or trades. besides covering bargnani's flaws as a 7 footer, he'd do well to mentor amir johnson and ed davis. honestly though the first player that comes to mind with that kind of description is rasho...
jose/ bayless
derozan/ weems
barnes/ kleiza
amir/ ed
?? / bargs
i'd be pretty happy with a lineup like that. even better, package weems/kleiza for another draft pick
