This is bad for NY and Denver. Bynum is very overrated. None of the guys going to Denver is better than ANY of the guys in the proposed deal from NY. Sorry, but Shannon Brown? Bynum is the only significant asset the Lakers are giving up and his health is a major concern, not to mention his ability to get up and down the court in NY's offense.

Obviously from a Laker's fan. Oh yes, BTW..why would Anthony want to go to the Lakers? They'll have a new coach soon, they don't have much young talent, they are over the cap, and Kobe is near the end of the road. He may not be old but his body has logged a million NBA miles. Anyone can clearly see he isn't the same.

This is the Lakers last hurray for a while. Gasol was a gift. I wouldn't count on another one.

This trade is awful for both the knicks and nuggets. Knicks have to lose assets such as AR, Buike and Curry and we get Bynum. Bynum is not that great. AR could be more valuable (and cost effective) than Bynum would be.

Denver gets really nothing halfway decent out of this. Down town brown is alright, but not someone to build around. AR is good, but not proven. Artest is a cancer, no way they take him on. If the Lakers want Anthony perhaps dealing with NJ and their picks would be easier? AJ is down on Lopez, Bynum is a good rebounder and fits what AJ likes. Shannon Brown, Bynum Ebanks TPE and the 2 picks outgoing for Melo Balkman and Harrington.
Nets become
Bynum
Twilight
Outlaw
Brown
Harris

Nuggs
Nene/Lopez
Kmart/Murphy
Forbes
Aflallo
Billups.

then they can work on moving billups for a young small forward

why wouldn't they just wait until...

never mind, this trade is just dumb, i won't even bother answering why.

I think what you're trying to ask, is why is the team that is most in love with Carmelo Anthony going to assist in sending him to a different team?

<bump>

If they were indeed "most in love with him", they'd have traded for him months ago. Dolan wouldn't be issuing proclamations to match all offers for soon-to-be RFA Chandler, and D'Antoni wouldn't be fawning over Fields and Gallo. No, Melo seems more into them than they are into him, especially with the cap-clogging 3-year extension he's set to make, at an average of over $22mil per season.

Say what? :dontknow:

He seems one of the most ideal fits at PG for the Lakers. He can play on or off the ball at any time, depending on Kobe's needs. He can defend, he's clutch, and he's a great leader. What do you see that I don't about this fit?
