For us, retaining Lou would be great. It provides us more size in our frontcourt/center rotation, and if we face up to a team with two great big men (e.g Lakers), we have the force and ability to be able to lock down both at the same time with Gortat and Lou.

If one of them has to go, move Chilly - MP is just too useful. If Chilly could shoot, I'd wan to to keep him but his lack of a three really hurts his usefulness here

I am happy that the suns are doing somewhat better, but personally, I see this as smoke and mirrors. They are a mirage, if lucky first round exit at best in the playoffs.

We have to go back and see how successful suns teams were built. At best, we were mediocre playoff teams. Never as bad as the clippers or a top tier team either. Our past FO realized that those teams were not going to get it done and they made trades for young players etc. They built up a team and than landed a big FA or trade. Boom, we were contenders again! They did not hang on for too long and made good moves at the right time. The current FO I believe is making poor moves that is going to hurt this team in the long run.

I love nash and these old guys, but I believe this organization is going to be horrible very soon. The longer we wait for the inevitable, the longer IMO it is going to take to rebuild this team. Its hard for me to say this because I still want Nash to retire a sun. This team revolves around him and when he is gone, its going to be ugly basketball in the desert.

Im not trying to be a doom and gloom person, but realistic about what lies before us.

From a few days ago:
In the mind of John Hollinger's computer we are currently #18, after hovering in the low-20s far too long.

The Suns current rating is 99.061, which is a rather large jump from very recently.

It's interesting to note: the Suns recent performance still includes the blowout loss to Denver, which is VERY significant in the rankings. That will fall out of the recent performance formula in two games. If the Suns play well against the Bucks and Thunder, they could take a leap up in the rankings by Saturday.

Despite last night's loss...

Ranking: 15
Rating: 100.147

That's a huge jump in the rankings, from about 23 not long ago.

NO

We are an absolutely mediocre team that is as far from contending as you can be. We have no young player with a bright future that we could rebuild around.

Our two best players are almost 38..

And our management wants to stay mediocre instead of blowing it up and tanking.

I believe we're a top 10 team since the new players had a chance to get some rhythm in this system.

I believe we're capable of becoming a top 5 team as these players continue to gel, and especially if the rotations improve.

I believe we could be even better next year.

3, 4, 5 years from now?? I have no clue, and neither do you. Tanking won't guarantee success, and trying to win with Nash won't guarantee failure later.

Get a reality check. My best advice.

And you want the Lakers in the playoffs so they can embarass us?
