Folks talking about Jimmer Fredette from BYU.

Some impressive vids of this guys shooting prowess. He make shots just like MVSteve. It makes you say wow how did he do that. The NBA draft machine has the Suns taking him at #13 too.

Well, currently we're in the 12-14 draft range and that is where i think he goes. Lacks the athleticism for 6 ft 2 SG (like Ben or Eric Gordon) but he CAN create his own shot which is important. If he's BPA i'd be fine with him here.

Sounds like a young Nash (excellent shooter, good PG, lacks defense and athleticism, supposed to go #13), take him.

Wouldn't be upset if we picked him in the 12-15 range.

A young back court of Fredette and Dragic, point and combo respectively, could be a nice duo. A pure shooter next to a slashing combo guard.

I agree with taking him with the Suns pick. I think a few teams will be turned off of the Adam Morrison-esque type return. Could allow the Suns a steal.

I am crazy about this kids shooting stroke and uncanny ability to get the shot off, but overall I can't shake my vision of him being a slightly rich mans Steve Kerr. A long bomber that will be limited to outside play in the league. I like him, but I think 13 is too high. At 13 we need another big, IMO then maybe a solid, defensive 3pt shooting 2 guard.

I don't think he is another great white hype like morrison. this kid is legit and I would love to see him on the suns
I like Draft Picks/Cap Space, long walks on the beach, and short youtube clips.

Jimmer is crazy...his crossover is just sick. I'd love to see him with the Suns.

his handling is insane. he is better shooting off balance than balanced. Allen Iverson lite imo. (with crazu range)

White men can't jump, but they can shoot; sign me up too :D I read about him on ESPN about a week ago, the article is called "Steph Curry 2.0"!!

He won't make it in the NBA as a star. Role player written all over him.

He is small and not athletic. He will always be a liability defensively and he will never be the PG Nash is.

Nash in college got 6+apg and didnt score that much. Freddette scores 27 a game and the ~4 assists he is getting are a product of him being such a scoring threat in college.

His numbers are similiar to JJ Redick in college actually.

It's funny though, you just described Nash with those first two sentences. I don't think anyone thought Nash would be the point guard he is.

People booed Dan Majerle when the Suns drafted him.

He is pretty athletic in my opinion, i mean he can dunk rather easy at his height. He has good ball handling and can shoot unbelievably. His game is like a young Gilbert Arenas but a better teammate.

I like that comparison. Both are crafty and have a flair for scoring. Curry is a lot quicker but Fredette is stronger. In terms of playmaking; Curry is a better passer but Fredette might have the better handles.

Fredette's success in the NBA will be determined by his ability to contribute in other areas of the game. The success in his transition to PG will determine whether or not he'll be Curry 2.0 or House 2.0.

In the league you can see some players less athletic and obviously not so talented. I think Fredette knows the game and can compete. What's important, he seems to have great heart and feels good in money time.

I think his athleticism is severely underrated. He has a great first step and is lightning quick with his crossover, and the guy being 6'2ish can dunk the ball pretty easy. My main concern would be his defense, but playing for us that isn't such a huge turnoff. When surrounded with high quality teammates and asked to be in the role of distributor rather than carrying most of the scoring load, I would like to see what happens to his assist numbers, cause for a guy who scores as much as he does, 4 assists at the college level isn't that bad.

He would be a good pick depending on what was available. I wouldn't expect him to be more than a role player in the nba though. Steve Nash is an extremely rare talent and comparisons to him shouldn't be thrown around willy-nilly.

Steph Curry-reddick mashup is a possible outcome for him. That probably makes him worthy of a 12-14 pick.

That would be an exquisite basketball player. He'll never be great at defense, but you can normally hide that if you've got a good defender at the 2 and 3. We'll see how he is at passing when he has offensively competent teammates around. Being such a jumpshooting monster will give him plenty of chances to make good passes. If he shows the chance of being a good playmaker he'll make it just fine. And I really like the Arenas comparison. Scoring point guard in the truest sense. I think he'd be a good pick

I think there is a consensus that if he is BPA, get him. I agree. Jimmer-Goran back court is pretty good. I think Goran and Dudley are good enough outside defenders to take the major threats out there. Gortat is pretty solid inside, just need a 4-man. Hopefully there is a pretty good one in the 20's.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.
