Yeah, Lush was a MONSTER in that WRC, FLO really held him back (Dumb called him Lush's Rhetoric haha).
I don't think we ever discussed D-Lor before, but he's my HANDS DOWN favorite nerd rapper. I don't get some of his references, but he's got BARS. The gun cats always say it's just jokes with these GT cats, D-Lor is the definition of bringing bars to battles without the gun nonsense. His performances against Phran and now Diaz have just boosted him to one of my hands down favorites in this battle rap ish.

XV has gotten a lot better from the first time that I heard him, though it's for his Kool Keith act now. I like 2015 and All for me, when I see his name I will at least think about hitting play.

I'm a big D-Lor fan too. I like Phran a little more, even though Lor won that battle. D-Lor puts together some crazy bars though. That Gladiator reference at the end of the Phran battle caused one of like 2 stand ovations ive ever seen in a battle. The other was when Soul Khan obliterated QP.

Raise your hand if you can even understand half of what D-Lor and Pharnchyze are even talking about? Hell that's the first problem of Grindtime and it's fans, who even understands D-Lor? With that said they need to team up and dump Star Eater.

LushOne Nick Carletti
@maclethal666 vs @TheSaurus831 confirmed for tomoro at BOLA4.. This is the Fresh Coast, shout outs to @alfdoggy and Legendary for sponsoring
It's official. This could be a legendary battle. Lush never disappoints with his events.

I understand almost all of it, though sometimes I do have to rewind to figure it out (like Phran reversing Downward Light Output Ratio)... The problem with D-Lor is he'll use local places (atrium punch vs diaz) and historical or scientific references that do manage to go over heads...but him being so complicated people don't get him is really overrated...Phran is simpler too. If you're paying attention, they're not so hard to follow except for some obscure game references (four bars on Panzer Dragoon, I loved...but a lot of ppl won't get it).
D-Lor and Tantrum should team up...Tourettes top two imo. He and Phran would beast too though.

This is going to be INCREDIBLE!
Yeah I can not believe he put that together on 1 days notice. 2 former scribble jam champs and all time greats going at it. I'm not gonna lie, I am even more excited for this battle than i was for DNA and Diz. The rebuttals will be insane on this one. And i expect a good amount of freestyling.
Speaking of freestyles, Franco is one of the best and most underrated freestylers of all time.

Franco was sick in this, especially his last round. Plus i will always respect him after he got punched by a guy 3 times his size in a battle and kept on freestyling. Beast.

Franco returning to GT would be GREAT. His third and OT could have been synced to beats flawlessly. He's no joke! I love seeing all these legends comeback and rip it...just for the memories, check out the best freestyle rebuttals compilation. Nothing but legends here.

That was a dope video. Mad cats i forgot about on there. Like Swann. Swann was a beast.
As far as rebuttals go, Fresco's rebuttal at the end of this battle with Soul Khan is the best ive heard. Just ridiculous word play.

That end of the verse rebuttal ish is always more impressive to me and Mind, Body AND Soul/Bodyin' Soul was just (Please Use More Appropriate Word) strong. Kinda got less credit than it deserved. I think Fresco is on the come up. Dude is always improving, so I could see him fighting his way out the mid tier if it continues...of course his image makes it a little tougher but he's got the rebuttals, writtens, punches and can kick bars too (though he goes more comedic mostly) to be big.
My favorite rebuttal of recent though is Soul Khan vs PoRich

"Where was I the night that Gary Coleman died? Giving your momma a different stroke"
It took all of the momentum PoRich built off a SK's choke and a good 2nd round...and just destroyed it. Straight up NBA Street Gamebreaker'ed Rich and stole that battle with a well placed rebuttal. D-Lor had a four bar rebuttal against Mosh Jelton about Bill and Ted that was pretty incredible too for off the dome during a written format battle that I was impressed with.

Re: Official Rap/Hip Hop Thread 2.0
Yeah Fresco has to fight through this perception and pick up his output workrate in matches. If you're going to kill time bring the better murderers "killer bars and killer rhymes". That's why I respect Swave so much he's the only one I've seen that does it to perfection. He might wanna hit him for pointers.....lol SK is Top 5 IMO he has almost the full arsenal. Still prefer DBD/RD/Solomon along with the two I just mentioned over pretty much everyone. I just don't see what so many others see in Phran....he's smart/full of energy/entertaining but in so many of his battles he lacks control/sometimes unprepared/goes off line in effort to get back online/not balanced or say consistent with style from round to round....IMO he's like a Vince Carter of battles rapping way too talented to produce some of the results he has.
