I'm not sure about it, but I hope both are right.
I'm sick of watch this team lose.

I'm just going to go on ahead and expect a loss. It makes a win more exciting and if we do lose at least I won't be as pissed as you guys.

I expected the Jazz to be a top 4-5 seed team in the WC.
We can still get those one of those seeds back, and we will.

Also, I want the Thunder in the first round, we can beat them!!!

I'd like to have watched this but it has become one of the rare Jazz seasons when, given the option, I elect to go to the beach instead. I've seen enough injury-induced capitulations to last the month. And, to be fair, it's supposed to reach 97 degrees in a few hours here.

Good luck to everyone. I dearly hope to find a positive result upon return.

Denver has the fourth best home record in the league and they are always an elite home team. I expect a double digit loss.

Not saying I don't think they can do it, but why all the sudden confidence in this team? DWill being back? With no AK, there is literally nobody to guard Melo, and if you say CJ, stfu. Hayward would do decent on him, but would foul out in 10 minutes. I just don't have confidence in this team defensively right now, and the Nuggets are lights out offensively. Wish I had your guys feelings about a win, but I simply don't. Hope I'm wrong.

If the refs weren't treating Hayward like a rookie, he could do a lot to slow Anthony down, but no one can stop him. With the rookie ref bias, Hayward would have to play off Anthony too much to be effective. Hayward likes to get physical early when players are looking for position. He tries to slow them up just enough to remove them as an option. That kind of defense is good, and surprising for a rookie, but also likely to catch too much ref attention. In the post, Hayward uses his body straight up too much to defend. That's going to get him a foul or two.

Sloan messed up in the Houston game by not playing Hayward more in the 3rd quarter and again in the 4th. The ball movement slowed way down, there were way too many shots forced by the clock, and Hayward was a stronger scoring threat than CJ.

Everyone has bias problems when looking at rookie's. Sloan, the refs and the fans. It's tough mentally to be whipped around so much. If Hayward's man beats him on a drive, Sloan is not happy, so Hayward presses a bit too much to prevent that, and it costs him. He knows Sloan is downgrading him. Yet, if it happens to Bell or CJ ten times, it counts the same as Hayward's one. Again, that's a lot of pressure on a rookie, and it causes them to make mistakes.

Al Jefferson has never been called for a foul he was willing to admit to. Imagine the look on Jefferson's face if the refs called him for the touch fouls they've called on Hayward. Jefferson might start crying.

Wow, I'm astounded at how dead the Denver board is. They aren't that bad this year, Melo isn't gone yet. Smith has been performing some incredible dunks. Nene is pretty good. Where are all the bandwagon thug fans?

Team is in disarray. There's no way that team should have 20 losses. Maybe it's injuries, I guess, but on paper taht team is better than the one that went to the WCF. Then again, on paper, Denver has always been one of the best teams in the league the last 5-6 years or so.

It's nice to have you around, I like this post and agree with all of it. The rookie bias is frustrating, I don't understand Sloan's rigidity and inconsistency. He punishes Jefferson for mediocre defense but never said a bad thing about Boozer, and grounds rookies for mistakes that his treasured "vets" make themselves. Imagine if Hayward took some of the shots CJ does...
