If I wasn't going to Green Bay I think I would have got a spread from Gloriosso's.

Bunch of pasta salads, meatballs, fresh bread, some pizza. :droop:

I'll be having Crow with all the fixins.

:)

I'm not the only one either, butI will have never been happier to be wrong in my life.

Although in some fairness to me I was a big fan of this team going to the SB this season, until that Bears game in September. Then after the Redskins & Dolphins games I REALLY didn't think this team was ready this season.

But they turned the corner and got that championship confidence going,it's going to be a fun next few seasons for us.

Just spent $557 with my business partner (who is also from Milwaukee) at Costco for food for our Superbowl party here in the east valley of phoenix. Almost everyone here is pulling for the packers. My buddy's kids school has some food donation thing at their elementary school and all the kids get to choose who they think will win by putting their food on one side or the other. The kids all think Packers I guess. Love it

So anyway here is what we are serving to a party of 20-30:
Miller light
Corona
3 different specialty multi beer packs
vodka and tons of different mixers
shrimp
cheese plate and numerous crackers
bacon wrapped smokies
3 different kinds of home run pizzas (2 of each kind)
pita chips
tortilla chips
salsa
guac
cheese artichoke dip
jalapeno yogurt dip
apple pie and vanilla ice cream
chicken nuggets
BBQ sauce
honey mustard sauce
ranch dressing
turkey meatballs in a slow cooker
champagne of course
westvleteren abt 12 (ordered a case of this special and been having a few at every playoff game)
Energy drinks
OJ for mimosa's for the ladies
umm, I feel like I am missing something but thats all I can remember right now since my buddy is hosting and most of it is at his place now.

Oh and another thing. My buddy who is hosting, his wife is due Superbowl Sunday but she is not dilated at all so today they told her they would like to induce the labor on Sunday. She said HELL NO. haha, she is also from WI. Lets just hope she doesn't go into labor before or during the game. If she does, we move the party to my house which is right down the block but I hope she doesn't for their sake. Oh and they will induce at 3 am Monday morning if she doesn't. Talk about a crazy day for those two.

One more thing, the kids name will be Braun Schmidt since her maiden name is Braun and they both love Ryan Braun. The middle name will most likely be Michael after his dad but if a packer they really like gets the MVP, they just might give the lil guy a middle name named after said packer or two middle names to get both names in there, haha. They are hoping for Charles right now, lol. This is going to be epic. Go Pack.

Yeah I agree but they were thinking Braun Michael Charles Schmidt since Braun Michael Woodson Schmidt sounds too much like having two last names, haha. In the end my guess is the lil dude ends up being named Braun Michael Schmidt but either way its going to be a good story to tell the kid that he would have been born on Feb. 6th but Mom and Dad really wanted to watch the Superbowl. And you know that kid will grow up a Packer Fan which is always a good thing, haha.

My wife got a bunch of mini bags of fritos from her dad who didn't want them so I am officially adding "Walking Tacos" to the menu. God I love Walking Tacos.

Easy rib recipe I made last year.
1 package (4-6) pork country-style spare ribs, bone in
2 jars of banana peppers

Brown the meat in a pan. Throw browned meat into the slow cooker, layer with pepper rings and pour in the juice from the pepper jar. Slow cook for 6-8 hours, and the meat will fall off the bone. Perfect for a party because all you have to do is serve yourself for the game.

I'm thinking guac, some brats and chorizo, maybe some little smokies.

For luck, I think I may go with Brandy Manhattans or Molson; for whatever reason, when I've switched to High Life during the game, we give up points.

Anyone else make/order a ton of good food only to watch it sit there due to your stomach being in knots the entire game?

Yea, we had a **** of leftovers. I gave it all away. My health is the primary reason I'm glad that football season is over and done with. I've hosted or attended some kind of party every weekend since the first week in December. Now there's nothing until the summer. Thank god.
