This game was so unmemorable I might remember it for that reason. They could have been calling it in zwaheli and I don't think I would have noticed.

I still don't get the cry fest about Lopez... People really have no patience anymore.
Some posters were acting like it was the end of the world and that Lopez would never bounce back from his horrific shooting to start the year... How did that work again?
Getting back to tip-top physical condition after mono is a very slow and gradual process. If you want to ignore that fact and chalk that up as an excuse that's your prerogative.
Just do everyone a favor and don't try and jump back on the boat if you're going to jump off it right now.

I hope you are joking man. Brooke is never, EVER going to be a good player until he stops being a pussy, gets quicker, and gets stronger. His points are so overrated by you people it's incredible. He's not a reliable player, he turns it over half the time he posts up, and instead of grabbing the ball and going after it he tips it around like a freaking (Please Use More Appropriate Word). This is the guy no one wants to trade and is supposed to be our star and the nets' anchor of the team. We're never going to get anywhere with him being our supposed star.

Not sure who you're talking about since I rave about Lopez more than I do bash him, but he had a bad game tonight.. there's just no way around it.

Re: Official Game Thread: Nets @ Detroit
Watching the game on DVR right now, haven't read a post in this thread yet, but wanted to say, they showed the most points in a single game record for the Nets, with VC around 3rd with 51, he was kicked out of that game, late 3rd, early 4th IIRC, for almost getting in a fist fight with Bruce Bowen after he did his patented Karate Kid leg sweep to Vince when he was mid air on a pull up 3.
He was just beasting that game man... he might have went for 70, no lie.
Just the VC homer in me coming to the surface.

I actually just went back and looked it up cause I wanted to see when he was ejected and I was wrong, he "only" had 43 that game before he got kicked out with 9:45 remaining.

Re: Official Game Thread: Nets @ Detroit
Man, Anthony Morrow is just an incredible shooter.
If he's traded I really hope the player coming back is an absolute stud, cause he's not good enough overall to be the centerpiece in any type of major deal, meaning he's basically the throw in that pushed the other team to accept a deal they're already close to doing.
At this point, I honestly don't think I would trade him for Mayo if any picks of value were included.

I was at that game. it was the second time in the game that bruce stuck his foot underneath VC and those two had a history of those altercations the time before that resulting in a VC injury... We were witnessing history until dirty bowen decided to cheat like he did his entire career.

Re: Official Game Thread: Nets @ Detroit
Bruce Bowen was such a punk and so dirty, but man was he one of those players I hated but would have loved to have seen on the Nets.
And as for Vince, I was so excited when we traded for him, especially when I found out the babbage we gave up for him.
I was thinking, now all we need to do is trade RJ for a really good big man and we're the favorites to win it all. RJ seemed to have that type of value then, but who knows if GM's felt the same way, after another couple seasons he was exposed as a product of Kidd and even VC drawing the focus of opposing defenses.
Those were great years though, only trumped by the obvious few years right before that.

Re: Official Game Thread: Nets @ Detroit
Brook committed 2 fouls trying to secure defensive rebounds against Monroe. Both times we were in the midst of making runs. His technique and leverage on the box out is downright pathetic. Not saying he can't get better, but that has been the consistent achilles heal of this team.
Good to see Morrow continually threatening offensively. Harris didn't play amazing but in his more subdued role he continues to do a nice job distributing. Team desperately needs a SF who can actually contribute.
