Good win. Really good to see Deron show some fire and stick up for his teammate. Big Al played the best game I've seen him play. And Raja was great at getting into the Nuggets fragile minds.

This game restores my faith a little.

i think jr smith might be the guy we need to thank. if it wasnt for him, the team wouldnt have seen that williams has their back.

What a great win!!!!

- Jefferson and Deron playing like the one-two punch that they should be.
- Bell finally out of his slump. 20-7-4 game!!!!!
- Miles had a great 3rd quarter.
- The bench was AWESOME
- Millsap had some great defensive efforts in spite of a terrible shooting night. 6 boards, 2 steals and 3 blocks.

Great team effort!!!!!

Did anyone else feel like they were watching the exact opposite of our usual games? With Denver in the Jazz's role (fighting back, but making idiotic mistakes and clanking shot after shot) and us in the opponent's role (executed to death and murdered on the defensive end).

Absolutely.

Hey, I thought the Nuggets were supposed to be invincible with George Karl coaching? Any Nuggets fans care to explain what happened?

No Adrain Dantley excuse to fall back on this time. NOW WHAT?????????

We were lucky they missed their shots. It's not really a good win..

Also, Watson had some mean rebounds in the first half. Dude is a total badass.

Great point. We shouldn't overlook that. After the maelstrom of bull the past month or so, a good bit of which Williams was responsible for, that was a really nice moment. Good on Deron.

exactly. during the replays, i couldn't help looking at the jazz bench. after deron shoved smith, and millsap got in his face, sloan rushed the floor with johnson grabbing at his coat. the rest of the assistants put all their arms together red-rover style in front of the bench as every player was up on their feet watching deron, coach, and millsap defending bell.

very nice win. Where did Jefferson come from? He finally looked a little like the player we expected. Dwill played great as always and surprisingly so did Bell. Great win, hopefully we can build on this.

Jefferson seemed a lot crisper and quicker in the post. A lot of games, he'll sort of amble around down there, but he was very decisive tonight, so that he didn't grind the offense to a halt. Really happy for him (and for us) to have played so well. Hopefully this starts a trend!

Watson = Jazz glue.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Haters are going to hate I guess....

Neither team shot well, it was a testy defensive game.

Melo was shitting bricks when Bell and Miles defended him in the first half. He went off a bit in the 3rd but a lot of it was from the FT line too.

Nene's stat sheet doesn't look bad but he did get his ass chewed out by Jefferson and even Fesenko too. 10 blocks for Utah!!!

Solid win because it was a physical game....best win in well over two months.

I know everyone loved watching the physical play in the game. However, I didn't think the game was won on defense. I thought it was won on offense. Denver averages a 107.6 pts a game. Tonight they had 106, almost their average. The jazz usually hold opponents to 99.1 points. They let Denver score their average.

Denver usually allows opponents 104.3 pts per game. Tonight they let the Jazz score 113. That's well above their average. Denver played poor defense. The Jazz played average defense.

Denver took only 80 shots. The Jazz took 95. They shot only a couple of percent better on two's than Denver. So the 15 extra shots from the field offset the 18 free throw difference. Major homer on the part of the refs until the end of the game. The Jazz shot better from the line and better on the 3's.

Where I think Denver lost the game was poor 3 pt shooting. They only shot half their average. if they had shot their average, they would have had as much as an additional 12 points. The other thing that killed Denver was the Smith flagrant foul. That cost them 2 free throws and possession. That late in the game that was a major turn that Denver never overcame.
