Coach Nate refuses to play rookies, so we do not know much about Luke Babbitt’s NBA game. He was projected to be picked as high as #10 on several mock drafts.. Luke was considered the best shooter available in the draft. Here are his 2 years College numbers.

MPG 34.9
PPG 19.4
RPG 8.1
AST 1.8
Steals .9
Blocks .8
FG% .480
3P% .421
FT% .893

Luke was darn near a 50-40-90 player in college and the reason KP picked him with our first of two first round picks. His NBA Comparison: Keith Van Horn/Chris Mullin. @ 6’9” he appears to be a PF/SF tweener that may have trouble guarding very athletic SFs, but who can?

The reason I included Babbitt as an option, he would balance your roster better than Rudy..

Thanks for the post, Blazer fan. No, we won't do the deal. Kaman is only reserved for a good to premier SF, at the moment. I would love to make a trade for Rudy (He would give the Clippers some desperately needed depth), and would give you some great pieces for him, but we are very specific in what we need at the moment.

I like this deal with Portland. Rudy can be the instant offense off the bench and we can go after a legit SF in the summer. If Melo is not traded, we can go after him.

I'd prefer Babitt actually. He was on our radar before the draft iirc.

We need proven players and Rudy is just that. He brings energy off the bench and he can hit the 3 ball.

Getting bab wouldn't that mean moving Aminu?

Nah, I don't think he's better or as talented as Aminu.
Honestly, I don't think we should trade with Portland, cause neither Rudy nor Babbit are worth trading Kaman for.

All things considered I doubt that we'll move Kaman during the season. He first needs to show that he's back(which he will hardly be able to during the next 2 1/2 weeks) and I also don't really like what's out there right now.

So a trade during the offseason is way more realistic at this point IMO.
