My Mainzer seem to have lost their scoring instinct. Both games we were the better team but ended up with 0 points and 0:2 goals.

Bremen - Munich is a hell of a game. It's still scoreless after the first half but it's going up and down. Great to watch.

This is a bad time to be a Kaiserlautern fan. First we get slaughtered in the German Cup, and now get beat at home vs Mainz. :(

I couldn't resist.

It kinda feels good to beat Kaiserslautern and see Eintracht Frankfurt losing against deadlast Gladbach.

I wonder what's up with Stuttgart. Last week they managed to escape from Dortmund with a draw and now they lose at home against Freiburg. If they keep doing this they're going to get relegated. Gotta win your home games if you wanna stay in the league. They still haven't realized that they're fighting against relegation.

Since Koo Ja Cheol has gone to VfL Wolfsburg, I guess I'm going to start following them a bit now. To be honest, I don't watch much Bundesliga... so can anyone tell me anything about Wolfsburg? Thanks lol

Wolfsburg were solid couple of seasons ago with Dzeko, Pjanic, Misimovic and Grafite. Never a good defensive team but they could very well make a scoring match out of it.

Since then they moved a lot of their assets and left Dzeko without much service before he moved to City. Now they are stuck with Steve McLaren.

Wolfsburg is pretty unpopular in Germany. They got their money from VW (Wolfsburg is Volkswagen city, nothing else there...) and these ""investing" money from an owner"-deals are always hated here.

On paper, Wolfsburg is a midtable team with enough talent to challenge the international spots. They had a great season when they had their crazy run at the end to beat the Bayern 5:1 and won the league, but that was an outliner.

Right now, they are the most unsympathetic team I know. Managed by a duo of incompetent dolts in Dieter Hoeness and Steve McLaren, fielding dicks like Diego and Mandzukic and lacking any kind of tradition or identity, I'd love to see them relegated, but that won't happen (... most likely).

As Sleepy said, VfL Wolfsburg has everything but an identity. There is a strange disconnect between the worker city Wolfsburg and the wannabe glamour of the soccer club VfL, making the club the equivalent of a salmon and peanut butter sandwich. The parts simply don't mesh, and create a strange aftertaste to say the least.

Imagine staring at a dead channel in TV, and you get a pretty good impression of VfL Wolfsburg.

So they sound pretty much like a Chelsea to me... except without as much success (and competency). Great.

Still would like to see Koo Ja Cheol play well with them though.

Pretty much and they have Dieter Hoeneß as a manager. He wants to outshine his brother Uli Hoeneß who's the manager of Bayern Munich but is at best half as talented as a manager.
Pjanic never played for Wolfsburg though.

We call that competitive spirit here in Germany. :D
You hear it quite often here that players have a little fight in practice. If it doesn't go too far then it's actually something that shows you that the team wants to win.

Speaking of Wolfsburg and their lacking identity, here's a video of their pathetic fan base.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLFXGr0_EYo

They need a tunnel to make up for the low volume caused by the low number of fans they have. How pathetic is that? Granted, this video is a few years old but still.

Honestly, being up 2-0 and then losing 3-2 against Cologne is hilarious. Their center backs are a joke. Just watch the 3-2 and you know what I'm talking about. Also you've got van Gaal making a lot of dumb decisions lately. They will get thrown out of the Champions League by Inter again. Demichelis/van Buyten was bad but Badstuber/Tymo is worse.

My Mainzer threw away the win in the last minute :(

Yeah I was wondering why van Gaal wasn't using Tymoshchuk simply as a DM. Tymo gets forward waaay too much

All I can tell you is that Breno is their best central defender and rotting on the bench for years now.
