I *think* this is his last year of arbitration but all rumors suggests the Rangers plan on extending him. -Jitpal
Here's to hoping he waits and the Yanks get him to their OF. He'd potentially own NY. A Mantle like hitter (ok, not quite but you get my drift) that would look damn nice in the middle of the lineup.

Re: official offseason thread
So Kelvim Escobar is going to try another comeback. How soon before Cashman signs him too?
It really is insane, the jokes about if this was 2003 are so spot on. This team would be so unbelievably stacked and good. Today, they look to be pretty good. Still, plenty of time to improve and the game is played on the diamond not paper. -Jitpal

Re: official offseason thread
I'm hearing that Kemp might be available? Is this true?
If so, I wonder if we can get him for Betances, Romine, and another piece or 2 at the deadline.

Does he pitch now? We'll have an extra hitter and honestly - I'm fine with the OF defense. We have 2 CF's out there that cover just about everything. Gardner is an elite defender, Granderson is above-average. Swish is the only liability, but that's something you have to deal with it - at least he hustles and does his best, unlike other defensive liabilities out there. Matt Kemp's value is down, no reason we would have to give up 2 of our top 5 prospects AND another piece.
