I tried that once before B, we lost....messed up my mojo on GT's.

Anyway good win, tonight even when we fell back I never thought we'd lose. Haven't had that feeling in a long time. Other than that we fought all game, that's all you can ask for. Now Phil has to find a way to fix Steve. He's getting to the point where he totally useless.

Missed the entire game except for the last 5 minutes or so and saw that they had a terrible 3rd quarter again. Nice to see they gave a damn in that 4th with some defense. Cute little win for LA.

Noticed that Kobe was in to start the 4th as well as the 2nd. Will we be seeing more of this?

I could be wrong but Kobe started every quarter.

Liked the W, but there is really nothing in this game the team should be proud about. The defense is about as awful as it could possibly get and the offense wouldn't have been this good if Ariza and Okafor both played. Not to say that they can necessarily shut anyone down, but they are their best interior and perimeter defenders. This team really isn't getting any better and I wonder if it is still possible for them to "turn it back on" when it counts.

I wouldn't worry about the defense so much for this game, when you have one of the most explosive lead guards in CP you're going to get bombarded with good offense. The game plan defensively against the Hornets is to make them score from outside, at least that's the Lakers plan. They didn't get much on the interior and you can only live on the jumper for so long.

Noticed in the last 2 minutes how those jumpers dried up ? Guys there is no perfect defense, just contain when you can, get stops when you can. New Orleans has 32 wins, they're not a sloppy team. Now if that was the Cavs and we were giving up shots like that, then we can bitch.

Further more to show the game plan was followed......

Freethrows:

Lakers 27
Hornets 4

They lived and died by the jumper.

Read the recap on ESPN and you see Monty Williams and David West Bi^c* and Moan about the 27-4 disparity. David West went as far to say its because it was the name on the front and back of the jersey.

Hornets coach Monty Williams said a 27-4 disparity in free throw attempts is "hard to do in a pickup game."

"For a game to be that physical and we only get four free throws, I just don't understand," Williams said. "Guys are just competing their butts off and I thought we deserved a little bit more whatever you want to call it."

For West, the explanation was simpler.

"It comes down to the name on the front of the jersey and the name on the back of the jersey," he said. "They get the benefit of the doubt, it's just what we have to deal with. We know that. We just have to move on. That's a crazy discrepancy."

Deep, the way I see it is that we haven't seen any booty in a while and we still lost. It's obvious it's not the booty's fault. Nothing bad in this forsaken world should ever, ever be blamed on booty. Especially. Laker losses.

But even if we lose, at least booty will keep our morale up.....

As per Blake, I think he sits next to Luke on the bench and he's starting to rub off. Like he's don't to Farmar, Sasha and Fish over the years.

Gasol had an awesome game last night 34/10. On the defensive end Artest had 3blks and 3stls.

pretty funny coming from a guy who never met a scoring opportunity he didn't turn into a jump shot. that team was nothing but jump shooters.
