SB Game Thread Should Be done By...

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sun Feb 6, 2011 5:05 am

Ok, the 3 playoff game threads have been done by

Philly: me
Atlanta: humanrefutation
Chicago: Wilford Brimley

I'm the least superstitious person in the world EXCEPT when it comes to playing craps and the Packers  Therefore I would like someone OTHER than the 3 listed above to start the SB game thread. What I ask is this:

Make it a creative thread, with pics and stuff like that. You know what I mean. THIS IS THE FREAKIN' SUPER BOWL.

And of course if we do lose (knock on wood), whoever did the GT will be banned forever, not only from this board but from the entire Internets (I do have that power).
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I thought Wilford was doing it. None the less I demand that GT reaches a 100 pgs minimum because you know the Packers going to win it all

Brimley is doing it after midnight. Read the super bowl lead up thread. He did Eagles and Atlanta apparently.

I did Eagles. viewtopic.php?f=161&t=1082543

I'd like to stick to the pattern of someone new for each playoff game.

When it comes to sports I'm irrationally superstitious. I knew I wasn't alone in this, but it amazes me how many other people are too. The JS today had a section on it. On Friday the company had a Packer day and everyone was supposed to wear some memorabilia. Myself and another gal were the only ones who weren't and I had to explain to people that I didn't own anything Packers related and that as long as they kept winning I wasn't about to start. The gal who didn't was the same way. She doesn't even watch the game. HUGE fan but since they started winning she's been in the kitchen or den playing pool, just listening to the game. She doesn't let herself watch. That's going above and beyond, but I get it.

Tonight I went to my usual grocery store and working in the liquor department is an old guy who I've BS'd with about the Packers and Badgers whenever I go there. He literally inspected my cart and made sure I wasn't buying anything out of the usual. And he was serious about it. I was safe. Phillips and grapefruit juice FTW.

Yeah no offense to WB, he's done great. I just want to keep on the same path of a diferent guy for each playoff game.

I've drank nothing but WI beer out of the same Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass every game of the playoffs.

When I'm shooting the dice in craps I never hold my drink in my shooting hand, I don't want to cool it off. Dumb? Yeah but I do it. Also, every time I lose concentration by staring at a hot cocktail waitress bad things happen at the craps table. This is much more of an issue in Vegas than it is at Potowatomi.

Maybe it's just been my terrible run in Vegas of late but I hate when people cheer and congratulate my BJ hand before it's confirmed a winner. I've had way too many double down'ed 20s when the dealer has a 6 showing and then they go 6-5-10. It's actually pretty pathetic because you'd think I'd be able to understand that the cards are already in the order before the people say things, but it really bothers me...Grendon and Notorious can attest. :nonono:

I agree. You did Philly, Wilford did Atlanta, I did Chicago. Let's give it to another person to get it done. :)
