The Packers are… errr were an overrated team who has had the benefit of having an easy schedule and a weak division. Sunday’s recent letdown has proven just how one dimensional this team is. When Rodgers is off his game, the team can’t win. Starkes, who everyone got a little too excited for last week only had a measly 8 yards out of 6 carries. Our offensive line crumbles against good competition, and our special teams still sucks.
Rodgers’ poor decision to continue for a few extra meaningless yards cost him his very short start streak and now puts him in jeopardy of missing a must win game in Foxboro.
You see, nothing has changed under Thompson. Nothing. The expectations remain inflated, hopes are eventually deflated, yet “fans” keep saying how good we’re going to be the next season. I am always amazed at how long Packer “fans” not only put up with, but will lavishly praise mediocrity.
This embarrassing loss to the Lions puts the Packers’ season on the brink of collapse, and even if they do manage to edge out the Bears for a playoff spot, there is little hope for any run to the Super Bowl… again.
In six seasons as GM, Thompson will have only gotten us to 2… yes 2 post-seasons. Why again should we be impressed?
I just want to reflect on a few of the funnier comments posted by homers over the past few weeks.

Anyone who thinks Ted Thompson should be fired after he has been constantly proven correct over the last three years should move to Minnesota. What a dumbass!
So how has Thompson been proven correct after three seasons? That would be only 1 playoff appearance in those three seasons. You are a blind fool. I actually feel sorry for you.

Ted Thompson has this organization on the right track and on a huge up-swing. I would agree with the TT / MM haters if this team was a perennial loser on a down swing.
Ouch, looking back, I bet that comment hurts you. This team has been on the “right track” for 6 seasons, right? When do homers like you discover that this track eventually just runs out? How will you call yourself a fan when you reflect on TT’s years as a failure? Or will you just say he got unlucky with injuries during his tenure in Green Bay? Please find another management team to blindly follow.

Wow this site cracks me up. what a total joke. I think its time to give TT another 5 year contract.
Yea, another five years sounds great. Then we’ll have been to 4 post seasons in 11 years. Fantastic.
Keep it coming guys. I always get a good chuckle from your over-exaggerated homer comments.
