Super Bowl Thread

Post#1 » by Icness » Fri Feb 4, 2011 3:53 pm

Sorry this is late.
Packers (-3.5) vs. Steelers, Sunday in North Texas.

My vision of the game is on the main page. My potshot at Glee got edited out

I see this game being tremendously low scoring. I've got the Packers winning 14-10 in my pool.

Hard to pick against a team who has won the Superbowl the last two times that they've been there. I'll take the Steelers 24-23, Big Ben wins MVP.

Im predicting Pittsburgh 23 - Greenbay 20, as someone already mentioned, its hard to predict against a team thats made the superbowl 3 times in the past 6 seasons. Its funny how it turned out too because i expected the Steelers to miss the playoffs because Ben was out for 6 weeks (originally).

But i must say, if there were any team that I would favor to beat the Steelers in the superbowl, this Greenbay Packers team would not be a bad choice at all. Would not be surprised if Aaron Rodgers takes over the game and brings home the Lombardi trophy.

Packers 24 Steelers 17. Two very good defenses, the Packers defense nationaly is vastly underated..I would be very suprised if their defense gave up 20 points. And on the other side for the Packers, I see the Packers offense having an advantage on the fast track with the way their offense is set up. The Steelers have the experience factor but once the game starts I think you can throw that out the window. I could be completely wrong lol. But one thing I do know..It will be an excellent super bowl. Go Pack Go!

Packers defense hasn't given up more than 26 points this year.

Come on Packers, please win. I do not want to see fat man Roethlisberger with another title especially with the way Pittsburgh won the last super bowl two years ago. If not for a lucky James Harrison drive, Kurt Warner would've won another title and Pittsburgh is 1 of 2 in the past decade!

Green Bay should've been in the super bowl 3 years ago. That NFC championship game against the Giants was an instant classic.

This

If the Steelers defense in on song, which it will be, that makes it tough for Rodgers.

I think the Steeler and Harrison MVP

Low scoring, 17-10 Steelers way

I hope im wrong but theyre proven at this level

You can get to 26 with 2 TDs and 4 FGs.

Steelers, 24 to 21. A-Rod comes back to tie it with a TD with less than 2 minutes remaining, but Ben and the gang kick the winning FG as the clock expires.

And in perhaps the worst follow-up programming to a Super Bowl ever, millions of beer-fueled, testosterone-filled men angrily chuck their remotes at “Glee”. a cameo from John Elway or Mike Tyson.

What else did you say? I can't believe FOX is putting on Glee immediately after the Super Bowl. Looks like I'll be watching something else immediately after the post game show.
