Well if they don't have their pick then they'd have to throw in another young guy. Mayo is gonna be awesome once he gets outta Memphis. He just needs to be the man. Worse case scenario is we use him to acquire another pick later on or move up in the draft or use him in a Barbosa role for our future team. But I think it could work here in T.O with Mayo. He just needs to be the man.

I honestly don't think Bargnani has any/if much trade value around the league. Even if B.C gets off his high horse and manages a trade to any team. I believe Bargs will most likely come off the Bench. I hope a trade comes soon. Since I've been reading Traino getting at bargs. I think it was because of his lack of D and since he's not shooting well he dose nothing for our team while being on the floor.

^^ Marquis Daniels just went down and was carried out in a stretcher in the BOS-ORL game.... they were already looking for more help at the backup wings, here's an idea that expands on that one a bit. Sorry CB4Champ...

to BOS: Wright+Reggie+Miami pick
to MEM: JO+Bayless+Alabi
to TOR: Bradley+Mayo+Thabeet

Bargnani/Thabeet/Ajinca
Amir/Ed/Dorsey
DeMar/Weems/Kleiza
Mayo/Barbosa
Jose/Bradley

We give up Bayless, but get a younger combo guard prospect with better defensive upside in Bradley, along with a chance to pair Mayo/DeMar on the wings, and get some size for our frontcourt by taking a flyer on Thabeet.

Boston takes on 0.8 million and give up Bradley (who never plays for them) to get productive expirings in Reggie/Wright (especially now with Marquis going down, Julian can fill in that role) and a late 1st.

Memphis saves a bit of money, and get help as they look to make a playoff push now (while still having cheaper prospects with potential in Alabi/Bayless).

EDIT: I was responding to RO7's idea... but it's gone :(

yeah because i posted something like it on the trade board. With MEM getting Bradley + Barbosa + JO + Dorsey + Miami 1st but no one liked it. so i just scrapped the whole idea.

What about something like Barbosa for Webster and Tolliver...

I like Websters potential... he's showed flashes of being a pretty good player/shooter that we need at the 3 spot... he just turned 24 and has 5 years of experience. He's wanted a chance to show himself but Minnesota has too many wing players. He was also one of the better wing defenders on Portland while he was there. If he can stay healthy and he's given the opportunity, he can be a good one.

Couple of quick ideas....

1. Bargs/J.Wright for TJ Ford/Paul George

IND puts themselves in a better situation to make the playoffs. Raps get an expiring and young SF w/ upside. George has been well recently for IND.

Collison/Dunleavy/Granger/Bargs/Hibbert w/ Price/Rush/Wright/Hansbrough/Foster etc isn't to bad.

2.Barbosa/Evans + Mia 1st for Butler/Jones

Expirings for Barbosa. Mavs get 2 vets that "if healthy" can help them win now and in the playoffs.

Kidd/Stevenson/Marion/Nowitski/Chandler w/ Barea/Terry/Barbosa/Evans/Haywood.

3. We go into the offseason with tons of capspace and overpay for Chandler and Gasol

4. We draft K.Irving. (Hopefully)

5. Resign Weems to a smallish deal.

Irving/Bayless
Derozan/Weems/Jones
Chandler/George
Davis/Amir/
Gasol/Alabi

K, i'm done dreaming now. Flame away.

I won't flame, cause I have a dream too!!!

1) Trade Reggie Evans for JO + Avery Bradley

2) Trade Bargnani for Mayo + Thabeet

3) Trade Calderon for Bibby + Marvin Williams

4) Sign Kendrick Perkins (10 million per season)

5) Draft Kyrie Irving (hopefully)

Irving/Bayless/Bradley
DeRozan/Barbosa
Williams/Weems/Kleiza
Johnson/Davis/Dorsey
Perkins/Thabeet/JO/Alabi

We still need to get rid of Kleiza but it's good we only have 1 bad contract in my opinion.

EDIT: Included Barbosa  who then becomes 13 million dollars in expiring contracts with JO for the 2012 offseason! YEZZIIR!

Aaron Brooks is apparently on his way out in Houston. He isnt getting enough PT so when the Rockets went to OT he left the bench and went back to the locker room and did not return.

Bargnani+Weems for (Harden or Green)+Aldrich+Ivey

Raps get Harden (or Green, who will then be our RFA) to pair with DeMar on the wings, along with a decent C prospect in Aldrich. Thunder get Bargs to be a 4/5 for them.

Aldrich/Ajinca/Alabi
Amir/ED/Dorsey
(Green or Harden--if Harden, play him at SG and DeMar at SF)/Wright/Kleiza
DeMar/Barbosa
Jose/Bayless

Hopefully we can land Kyrie in the draft and go after a C like DeAndre/Gasol/Nene/Perkins as well.

If Houston is willing to do it (probably unlikely, but you never know), I'd do Jose+Bargs+Wright for Yao+Brooks. We more or less ensure that we get a high pick this summer, and get a clean slate capwise, with Brooks as our RFA (who is great insurance in the event that we can't land Kyrie in the draft). We could make big offers to two young free agents (DeAndre/Gasol/Perkins/Nene + W.Chandler/T.Young/Green)... or be able to utilize our capspace in rebuilding friendly trades.

for now, we'd look like this:

Amir/Ajinca/Alabi/Yao
Ed/Dorsey/Reggie
Weems/Kleiza
DeMar/Barbosa
Brooks/Bayless

Barbosa is to similar to Terry IMO for Dallas to do that. I doubt Bargnani is traded. As for brooks. If we miss out on Irving then Brooks would be a nice prize for clearing Barbosas salary. Offer a high contract maybe Houston doesn't match and they take our TE instead

Brooks / Bayless
Derozan / Weems
Barnes / Kris Joesph (mia pick) / Klezia
Bargnani / Davis
Center (Calderon trade) / Johnson / Alabi

A example would be if the kings draft a wing like TJ. A s&t for Dalembert could make sense

i really think something like this can work for Memphis. 9 player swap.

if this is hard to read, then click the link:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=6yntdxw

To Toronto: Oj Mayo + Hasheem Thabeet
To Memphis: Jermaine O'Neal + Randy Foye + Avery Bradley + Joey Dorsey + MIA 1st
To Boston: TE (7.1 million)
To Los Angeles: Leandro Barbosa + Demar Carroll

Raptors get Mayo and Thabeet for a 1st, Barbosa and Dorsey which is a nice return for us. We get younger and take a chance with Mayo

Memphis gets players who help them now, get a young defensive minded PG (i read the Memphis board and they want defense for Mayo) so they get that and get a Miami 1st. Get a fan favorite who played his college ball in memphis in Joey Dorsey. They round out the roster and IMO get better. Grab JO who can help them in the playoffs and Foye adds outside shooting (See what Memphis fans want on their board, i think i addressed every point)

Boston gets rid of JOs contract to re-sign perk and Davis. Interesting enough is that they move to 70.4 million in committed salaries this year (100,000 from tax). They save 14.2 million in luxury tax, and another 7.7 for next year to re-sign players who are more important.

Clippers upgrade from Foye to Barbosa for only an extra 3 million next year. Barbosa gives them a legit scoring option off the bench

Calderon / Bayless
Mayo / Weems / Johnson
Derozan / Wright / Klezia
Amir / Davis / Evans*
Bargnani / Thabeet / Ajinica / Alabi

Conley / Bradley / Williams
Henry / Foye / Vasquez
Gay / Allen / Young
Randolph / Arthur / Dorsey
Gasol / JO / Haddadi

= tell me thats not a playoff team and that they dont get better. I love that lineup for Memphis

Davis / Bledsoe / Warren
Gordon / Barbosa / Butler
Aminu / Gomes / Carroll
Griffin / Smith / Diagu
Jordan / Cook / Kaman*

not gonna do Boston because they dump that contract

another idea i had was

To Toronto: Mike Bibby + Oj Mayo + Hasheem Thabeet
To Atlanta: Leandro Barbosa + Jose Calderon
To Memphis: Jamal Crawford + Joey Dorsey + Miami 2011 1st

speaking of Aaron Brooks. Do you think Houston would do...

Calderon + Miami 2011 1st + TOR 2013 1st (lottery protected) for Brooks + Jeffries?

I would love Brooks on this team and he seems to have fallen out of favor in HOU. He was already pissed he didnt get an extension from them and then he walks off the court and i dont think he likes the coach at all. Calderon/Lowry would be all that bad of a PG combo. They get 2 1st rounders and a solution at PG whos only 2 years older than Brooks. More of a pass 1st guard, the contract situation is moot because Brooks will likely get the same ish contract as Jose.

i just imagine a 2011 lineup of.

Brooks / Bayless / Price (minimum)
Derozan / Weems
Barnes / Klezia / SF (minimum)
Bargnani / Davis / PF/C (minimum)
Center (Barbosa*) / Johnson / Alabi

Barbosa would be an expiring next year so i think he could net us a C.

that team makes the playoffs next year and is young and exciting. I made it a 2013 pick because i want our 2012 pick incase of a lockout so i think this makes sense.

Tim (Toronto)

Chris, rumours up north here that all Raptors veterans are on the block -- Leandro Barbosa, Jose Calderon, Reggie Evans. Do you think any of those names will attract interest from contenders?

Chris Sheridan

Calderon ($9M, two years left) would seem to have the most untradeable contract of the three. Barbosa would probbly be the most likely to go, though Evans is a wild card if he comes back and plays as well as he did before breaking his foot. I would exepct him to be rushed back and showcased soon. Raptors still have $12 million of their Bosh trade exception remaining, so they can be more creative than most teams in making uneven deals. (Barbosa fits in OKC, no? Bet the Raptors would love to get their hands on that Cippers' pick).

I would gladly take that. It's a 2012 first rounder, top ten protected until 2016.
