i posted a nice trade in the trade thread, basically brewer goes to boston, boston sends their 2011 1st to us, we send our 2011 to denver. daniels goes to minnesota, walker goes to denver, wafer comes to us.
basically denver adds a second 1st rounder.
heres the framework of the deal:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=4ea49fg
NY Trades:
Anthony Randolph
Wilson Chandler
Eddy Curry
Kelenna Azubuike
Bill Walker
2011 1st round pick
2011 2nd round pick
2011 2nd round pick via gsw
3 million cash
NY Receives:
Carmelo Anthony
Al Harrington
Von Wafer
2011 1st round pick (boston)
Felton/Douglas
Fields/Wafer
Melo/Gallo
STAT/Harrington
Mozgov/Turiaf
Knicks get their man, they take back harrington, further lifting contractual burdens on Denver. They get bostons 2011 1st round pick which allows them to trade their own better pick to denver which I think they'd like more than Brewer for 2 months.
Denver Trades:
Carmelo Anthony
Al Harrington
Denver Receives:
Marquis Daniels
WIlson Chandler
Bill Walker
Kelenna Azubuike (80% contract paid by insurance, expiring)
2011 1st round pick ny
2011 1st round pick utah via min
Billups/Lawson
Smith/Daniels
CHandler/Walker
Nene/Williams
Andersen/Ely
Denver saves even more money by getting the insured contract of azubuike and ridding themselves of harringtons awful deal. They also get 2 first round picks which should be between 14-20 with both Utahs and NY's picks.
Minnesotta trades:
Corey Brewer
2011 1st round pick utah
Minnesotta Receives:
Eddy Curry (50% paid off)
Anthony Randolph
Marquis Daniels
2011 2nd round pick gsw via nyk
3 million cash (covers cost of curry)
Ridnour/Flynn
Johnson/Daniels
Beasley/Webster
Love/Randolph
Milicic/Pekovic
Minnesotta gets an additional 2nd round pick in this deal. also, I've heard their fans grumble that they dont like losing brewer, who starts, yet they are not going to retain. by getting daniels they get a replacement for brewer.
Boston Trades:
Marquis Daniels
Von Wafer
2011 1st round pick
Boston Receives:
Corey Brewer
2011 2nd round pick ny
Rondo/Robinson
Allen/Bradley/West
Pierce/Brewer
Garnett/Davis
Perkins/Shaq/Erden/Oneal
Boston receives a great role player in brewer who is a solid defender which should allow him to have a smooth transition into doc's system. They give up their 1st round pick to get him, but they get ny's 2nd round pick, so the drop should only amount to about 15 slots in the draft.
The Deal can also be reconstructed to send Avery Bradley and Luke Harongody to minnesota if minnesota would value them more than the expiring deal of Daniels
