I don't think Roy Hibbert is all that great, definitely not worth whatever it would take to acquire him.

Hibbert is a huge disappoint, OKC would not want him, IMO - says the guy who drafted him on his fantasy team :banghead:

But really, I'm not sure of his availability, but Marcin Gortat would be a great addition for your team. You never know what PHX is thinking with their roster. Anything seems plausible with them.

In regards to Perkins, sorry to inform you, but I really doubt he is leaving Boston. He is coming off major surgery and he is in a situation where he knows his role with the Celtics and is worth more to Boston (considering his injuries) than anywhere else, IMO.

Out of anyone else on your list, I think Marc Gasol would be a tremendous fit alongside Ibaka in the frontcourt.

I agree the best option for us would be Marc Gasol or Nene.

We do need to move someone from our 9 man rotation if that's going to be worth a shot. Since brooks don't like to tinker on a winning hand, No point trading rookie contracts for Landry only to bench him and let him+green walk in the offseason.

first time i heard the rumours of beans. but really him? At 9m a season? I rather trade for an injured Varejao.

He doesn't name a source and I won't take the word of 'KD35MVP'.

After watching DeAndre play lately, he's become my number 1 target. I think he fits here better than Gasol and he's started playing some nice defense as of late. He's 3rd in the league in dunks made behind Howard and Griffin which speaks volumes about his ability to attack the rim. He's long, super athletic, and has shown that he can play with some fantastic passion.

Wouldn't hurt if he had chosen a sexier option for a rumour.

Perkins has turned down Boston's offer of $30/4

Perkins, represented by agent Arn Tellem, has opted to wait until he is an unrestricted free agent.

7.5m/season. even haywood got more than that! and Perkins is so much younger.

edit: Noah/Horford got 12m/season, so i suppose Perkins value is around 10m?

The Biedrins rumor will happen, and okcthunderup.com is clearly on top of what's going on, under the radar. Give it a bit, then you might bite that tongue of yours.

Even if Perks value is at 10m/season he's going to want more and teams will over pay for an above average center.

If my reading comprehension is accurate the Biedrins rumor has already happened. It doesn't make a lot of sense and isn't very well thought out, but the rumor has happened. Got give credit to okcthunderup for making bringing a rumor like this to the internet where it can be accessed by so many.

If you look at any "trade rumor" on ESPN or anywhere for that matter, do you ever see a source's name? Chris Broussard in basketball, Chris Mortenson in football, nobody ever says who their source is...otherwise they would lose it. I did the same thing. My source is in the OKC Thunder organization. Do I know if it will really happen? No. But I'm sharing what I know. With all the possible trade proposals going on right now, the Thunder could end up with one of a number of people... or nobody. We will have to see

Those individuals have credibility built up over the course of many years. Any Joe Schmoe with a Blogger account can post their 'sourced' trade fantasies on the internet, just don't expect to be taken seriously until some of your inside information is substantiated.

On an aside, I don't like the trade at all for Andris Biedrins. He's not great offensively, he's a liability closing out games, he puts up big rebounding numbers on the worst defensive rebounding team in the NBA four years running, and he's injury prone to boot. I'd pass.

I like DeAndre too but we have ZERO chance at landing him...hence why the Clips would be willing to move Kaman. Im sure Sterling will pay up to keep him in La-La land.
