I must admit that I don't recognize all the Wizards, but I also regret they aren't still the Bullets, so it probably a sign of my age.

I hope that Azure gets to see a full contingent and that Al doesn't sat out as a precaution.

At work so I can't see the game but from Boxscores I see that Al couldn't go. Good on Zaza though, getting his second start.

I can only go by the box score tonight. It looks like things are positive at the moment.

Dallas, the bullets will be back according to the owner.

Watching the game, it's been strange. The Hawks have always felt in control but Washington has kept it close and took a lead or two.

Strong contributions from Zaza, Marvin, and Damien. Joe was very efficient and effective. The real stud was Josh Smith. He was taking it to the hole, cleaning the glass, and playing tough D. He really stepped up to cover for Al being out and played a much better game than he did last night.

Good win.

I loved Damien's performance because it gives me hope that I won't have to see Mo "Chia Pet" Evans again.
Josh surprisingly almost got to 30 despite taking so many jumpers. He missed all of them but he made every inside play.
Him and Marv beasted on the boards too in Horf's absence which was great to see.

Good news. The idea that the team name lead to violent crime was a stretch of PC paranoia that never set well with me.

Shot distribution was nice:
JJ: 12
Smith: 19
Marvin: 11
Craw: 12

Efficient JJ does so much for this team. I hope he can continue his great play.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

I'm just noticing the gradual progression in the teams development and a major part is resiliency. How they fight on the road and how they bounce back from tough and/or bad losses. Winning on the road with any consistency used to be a pipe dream around here. Hawks have already won 16 games on the road with 14 left. :o 16-11 Just think bout that...that's pretty decent for some home teams.

Game was pretty exciting and fun, especially because there was a group of Wizards fans right by me who kept on heckling Blatche all game.

Thornton over Zaza was ridiculously nasty, the crowd pretty much exploded after that play.

Lately, I've only been able to catch the last minutes of the past few games but, from what I'm seeing, we don't look all that good. Seems to me, we're just beating poor teams.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

You gotta play whose scheduled. The Hawks are 12-4 this calendar year. The 4 losses included the New Orleans blow out, a Houston game that could go either way and 2 4th quarter fade jobs in Milwaukee (squandered a lead to lose by 8) and Dallas (lost touch of a tight game at end of 3 to lose by double digits). Not all 12 wins came at the expense of poor teams. We beat Miami, Utah (before their bad streak), and New York in that stretch. We need to continue to beat these teams with worse records because our schedule is stacked with tough opponents in March and April. The lion's share of those games are in Atlanta so hopefully they can market to get larger crowds (like against the Clippers) so that the home court advantage is restored.
