The 7-game Grammy's road trip.

Post#1 » by dockingsched » Fri Feb 4, 2011 9:04 pm

so after a tough loss against the spurs where the lakers actually competed against an elite team, the team is now faced with the annual Grammy's road trip.

Here's the schedule, with two back to backs:

Sat, Feb 5 @ New Orleans

Mon, Feb 7 @ Memphis

Thu, Feb 10 @ Boston

Fri, Feb 11 @ NY Knicks (back to back)

Sun, Feb 13 @ Orlando

Mon, Feb 14 @ Charlotte (back to back)

Wed, Feb 16 @ Cleveland

i'm going to be optimistic and predict a 5-2 record with a loss at boston and a loss at orlando. that knicks game looks like a trap with it being on a back to back right before orlando, so i wouldn't be shocked if they lose that one too.

Going with 5-2 also...

I do not see them beating Boston. Maybe we can pull a win in Orlando. I am optimistic.

I'm going with 6-1. It's now or never. We cant keep falling behind. The Spurs game (even though we lost) showed that tenacious defense we are capable of playing when we're focused. It has to start somewhere.

6-1 would be very good...but the way we are playing right now I'll be happy with a 4-3

I'll say 4-3.

@ New Orleans (Win) - Can't imagine us losing to them with CP3 and Ariza out.

@ Memphis (Loss) - We always seem to struggle in Memphis, and I think this will be more of the same. We'll come in cocky after beating up on an undermanned Hornets squad and pay the price for it. Marc will make Pau look like a punk, as usual.

@ Boston (Loss) - They're just better.

@ NY Knicks (Win) - After losing to Boston I see us bouncing back and taking this one against the Knicks.

@ Orlando (Win) - The Magic are completely overrated and they're still trying to establish chemistry. This is a game I see us taking.

@ Charlotte (Loss) - Charlotte is another team we seem to struggle against, especially on their floor.

@ Cleveland (Win) - If we lose this game I won't be watching anymore games until the playoffs.

5-2, with losses to Boston and Charlotte. I also expect another 55-pt win the Cavaliers.

Imagine if we got 6 - 1 and our 1 loss is against the Cavs. I would be happy if that were the case.

yep, also wouldn't mind that.
Will be extremely hard, boston/knicks/magic will be though games, hornets/cavs won't be too hard, but we always struggle vs memphis/charlotte.
hope 5-2, but 4-3 seem realistic for me. hoping 7-0 though, can't slip behind f******* mavs

I'm thinking we get revenge in Boston. Then in Miami, but first we lose to Cleveland. :D

voted 5-2 before the two games but I'm hopping for a 6-1 record.

Would be cool if our only loss was to Cleveland just to balance things out. :)

7-0 is impossible and 4-3 or worse would be really disappointing. I would definitively lose my last bit of faith I have on this team.

Things are already looking better than I predicted, so that's a good sign. The only game on this trip that means anything to me is the Celtics game, so I would be satisfied if that was the only game we won on the trip from here on out. We need to show that we can go on the road (this year) and win a tough game, and that will be one that the Celtics are absolutely getting up for.

I knew celtics would lose to phoenix before our first game with them and I knew they would lose to charlotte as well...

They really want to beat us...

if our bigs play the way they played against memphis I do not see how we could not win.

3-0, a loss to the knicks who just lost to the clippers would be so freaking disappointing.
