I'm giving props to this kid because he has been great lately and pretty good all season. He is playing like a true professional this year, sitting on the bench, not complaining, and being completely ready when his number was called. He has been working his butt off and he goes 100% every time down the floor. Kid is looking like he could be a great backup point for any team in the league. I'm definitely impressed with how he has kept working sine his initial stint here and how much he has progressed.

the weird thing about him is seems every time I'll load up the box score of the current game and he'll always be something like 18 minutes, 2 for 7 from the field, 3 turnovers, but then he'll have one of the best plus/minus on the team. Poor stats, but team seems to play better w/ him on the floor.

 To you Bassy! I've been very impressed with his attitude and play this year as well. A true professional. Also, I would like to give a shout out to Ellington as well. He has been right there with Bassy as far as being a professional. He isn't always consistent but I've seen a lot of improvement from him this season and continues to work his tail off.

Funnily enough he had 0 assists tonight but when he was on the floor he really played good, solid basketball. Moved the ball about quite well, played good D on Paul and hit some big shots for us. I think he made 3 3's in the second quarter alone.

Anyway, agree with the OP and since his return from the bench he's looked really good.

Looking at that photo of Bassy brings back bad memories...bad.

I find it rather absurd that I believe if we played Bassy instead of Flynn we would have a few more wins.

I don't know, Telfair seems to be looking for his own shot over setting up teammates. I'm not overly impressed.

Yeah, it always seems like he'll do some really nice things, then start to feel overly confident and try to do way too much or force a bad shot after overdribbling.

I will say that his attitude has been nothing but professional and he always brings the energy and intensity. I hope, for his sake, that he finds a home as a backup PG.

Speaking of Telfair and his recent PT, does anyone have any idea what is up with Ridnour or when he is expected back?

Anyways, cheers to Bassy for continuing to work hard!

Ironically in the last 4 games, his 2 best games +/- wise he didn't have a single assist and (for obvious reasons) had an awful assist to turnover ratio. I don't mind him as a backup but I think it takes games where he hits an unusual amount of 3's or has AT go off and hit like 4 3's in a row for him to put these +/- numbers up.

I'm the first to admit I can't analyze basketball defenses at all, it's not simple to me like football and baseball, so unless he's playing awesome D I think it's really more luck than it is him playing really well

One of the few guys who actually improves when he gets mad. I love seeing that quality in players.

I heard that there's something wrong with one of his twins, so I think he might be gone for a while.

I think the comments about him hitting his shot to produce good games is pretty accurate. But I have loved the way he has played of late. I think he is definitely increasing his Trade Value.

I remember when we all used to think (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!) when Bassy would throw up a shot earlier in the year. Now I am fine with it, he looks like he really has been working on his jumpshot and it's much more consistent. Earlier in the year he brought a lot of energy to the 2nd unit, but now he brings energy and some scoring which is very nice.
