Chester Taylor out

LINK - Look in the "Running backs" section.

Apparently, Chester Taylor is going to be cut. Can't blame them too much. He looked good for the first few games then just fell off a cliff. Seeing Forte dominate the second half of the season about as well as any back could behind that line as well couldn't have helped.

Eh, it seems like speculation to me. Nothing difinitive in there. He's already been paid. There's no substantial financial gain to cut him loose now is there? He's a decent backup (despite his woeful YPC this year) and I wouldn't mind seeing him back out there for another year.

I would like to see that kid Bell get some reps.
Bosh has trademarked the name Homo Ostrich in order to prevent announcers and fans from using it to describe his game.

I have this bad feeling that they'll cut Taylor and then Forte will get injured. :P What does that leave us with? Bell, Wolffe?!?! :)

Why would anyone say that?

Anyway... I think we need to get a better back up. I could see the Bears giving Bell a shot at back up in the off season, but if neither of them are good enough we need to get a running back to let Forte rest. He has been our offense for the last three years and needs someone to take a load off him.

I guess Taylor is still set to make $1.2 mil this upcoming season which is a good amount for a backup RB. There would be a small savings in cutting him and replacing him with a late round draft pick just not sure it's worth it. If Forte gets the extension, I'm sure he'll be cut. We'll see.

Bears cut Taylor.
Taylor signs back with Minnesota.
Vikings win wild card spot.
Bears fail.

Don't see the need to cut him to be honest.
