Now FOS aka SAS tells us the Knicks could have had Melo for 2 of their 3 top prospects all along?

I don't care how many times he repeats it with his ever increasing volume and self aggrandizing that is utter trash.

That might be what it takes now since the NJ deal is off the table and they are nowhere to be found in the deal talks. That might be what Denver is saying now in an effort to save face in negotiating and with the fans. That's what ultimately what the deal may consist of if it goes down before the trade dead line at all.

There is no way that at any point before NJ dropped out is that what was on the table for the Knicks and they chose to not address it. I believe Walsh 100% when he says they were never asked to the table and never given a clear answer on what Denver wanted from the Knicks up until NJ stepped off and don't believe that FOS loud mouth trying to find his way into the spotlight after a 3 year exile, yes, I don't believe him not one iota.

ANd yet, you believe the other reports that the Knicks weren't invited to deal?

It's personal bias in terms of who you believe and who you don't believe, really.

When Denver themselves were saying we didn't and Donnie Walsh saying Denver doesn't wanna communicate with us then, yes, I do believe we weren't brought to the table to have meaningful conversation.

You're picking and choosing who you want to believe. How do you know Donnie wasn't saving face?

How do you know SAS isn't throwing sh*t on the wall and hoping it sticks? You can't believe everything you read which is true but you have to assume your GM is telling the truth and wouldn't lie to his fan base.

Everyone was saying it including SAS about Denver not listening to the Knicks before just recently. It's crap now how all of a sudden he comes up with a new story. Who's the fool? The person who believes him before or the person who believes him now? The answer... the person who believes him anytime.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

I had the displeasure of sitting next to Steven on a budget flight from Detroit to LaGuardia where we were stuck on the tarmac (**** la guardia..) waiting to deplane for about an hour. This was about a year ago.

During this time the man made no less than 5 separate phone calls and did not stop talking for more than 10 seconds at any time.

One to his jumpoff, one to his agent, a couple to his boys, and one to some producer of his radio show. The only thing he cared about was getting back on in NYC on ESPN, it was crazy. The man was obsessed.

If you're curious, he was dressed head to toe in a gray nike sweatsuit and had quite a bit of bling as well.

I didn't have the nerve to say "hey steven, cheese doodles", as we finally got off, I will take that regret to my grave.

I don't agree with SAS. Why giveaway Gallo, when we already offered a decent package? If Denver doesn't take it, they'll completely lose out. Melo wants NY, and everybody knows it.

Ha! I just tweeted BT that SAS, in so many words, called him a Gallo homer when it comes to dealing for Melo... now BT goes off on this 4 tweet rant....

This is the same SAS that loved the Zach Randolph trade and almost every Knick trade. So please, take what he says we should and should not do lightly. Its for entertainment only. He talks loud and is outspoken to get fans fired up and produce ratings.

I wish I could find the video clip, but some dudes draft diary:

8:16 – Steven A. Smith almost starts masturbating over the Randolph trade while screaming out Isiah Thomas‘s name. I take it he’s a Knicks fan.

Ok, now that Steven A's credbility in terms of basketball knowledge should be 0....

I hate how it sounds like he's trying to make Walsh sound bad and how some posters are buying into it. Its just insane to think that Walsh should be gone if he can't get Melo. I also hate how Dolan may be thinking the same.

This dude is going to poison the airwaves. For entertainment? Sure. For opinions on cheez doodles? Yup. But for opinions on whats good or bad for the Knicks?? Hellzzz nawww!!!!

hey remember when smith said gallinari is from italy and anthony is from new york? lets forget how that statement is pointless and stupid rolled into one.
