Simple question......what's the difference between him and Matt Barnes ?

He's not a great passer, his jumper stinks...just too erratic for me. Never liked him.

Explain why he's not garbage, just don't retort with what I put out there.

I'll explain why I would love to have Wallace, but since you brought up the comparison of Matt Barnes, it makes me wonder if you think Barnes is garbage? I'd love to have another Barnes on this team.

Wallace is a very good rebounder and help defender. He's got great size, athleticism, and plays the passing lanes well, alot like Artest. Artest is not a triangle player either, so I'm not sure where you're going with that one. He's got better all around career numbers than Artest, and he can get higher than an inch off the ground. He's also a better FT shooter than Ron. Why would you not want him over Ron?

Great points Ty.

Wallace has declined this year, that plus his bigger contract I can see why they might be interested in this trade. I am kind of on the fence about this. Our team doesn't really have the spacing to let Crash operate, and Crash is still one injury away from ending his career. I think if given the opportunity though the Lakers should still go for it. Artest doesn't seem like he's interested in playing hard for this team any longer.

I think Jackson would be the better fit.....better creator/shooter and when focused can be a decent defender....I think he can hold his own against the likes of Pierce/Melo/James etc...he is much better G/F combo then Wallace who isn't very good perimiter player, he'll suffer offensively just like Artest is right now.

defensively, I would say Artest is still the perimeter defender in the league when hes on.

Yep I felt that Jackson has a lot more options to bring to the table than Wallace. Though crash is younger, his injuries plus his inability to not shoot the ball well from the perimeter makes me feel like he wouldn't fit. Jackson can play the 2 or 3 and though he is up there with age, he has experience.

Why is the SF position always a work in progress for us....

Beat writers have to give there bosses a story to put in. So we get all the wild and wacky ones. Lakers not playing up to there best. Even with the record of a top 5 team. We are a target. You would think Denver would go to the clippers who have better things to trade to get melo. But no, they go for the 2 time champs. So let the rumore fly for the next week or so then it will be over and we have the same team.
