My 3 take...
Ellingtons play proves how desperate this team is for a legit SG. He isn't the answer as a regular starter, but has potential as a capable reserve.

Wes has quietly improved. Seems like the game has slowed down for him. Gotta give him credit for being a team player (from day one). Would be nice to see him create more for himself, but that will come.

Good to see Tolliver rebound ... thats been my criticism of him so glad to see it.

If Flynn and Ellington keep this up, last years draft will look a lot better. Not saying starter material necessarily for either, but Ellington is continuing to look like he's deserving of minutes.

I haven't been posting during games lately, I prefer to give the game my full attention. But I wouldn't be a good fan if I didn't swing by this thread for a huge AROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

This was really just a great all around game. Teamwork, clutch shots, key stops, not too sloppy, continued improvement from Flynn, Pek, Wes, Tolly, Ellington, Telfair, hell even Koufous was solid. We needed an all-around team effort if we were gonna win this, and we got it.

Icing on the cake was of course Love's dub-dub. There's a new Kevin in town.

It's games like this that make me think that this team still could turn a bit of a corner this season if we can get just half this much productivity from our bench on a consistent basis.
Flynn I think has definitely turned the corner. He still makes some silly TOs, but his overall energy and aggression seem to be completely back. Pek continues to improve in his slowly-but-surely fashion. Tolly just plays the game the right way. Sometimes his shot isn't falling, but when it isn't he just does other positive things out there. I still think he's not fully back at 100%, but as he gets healthier I think his minutes will trend upward. Wes, as mentioned, just seems to be getting more comfortable, as if the game is slowing down for him. A lot of good things to come there. Ellington may be the toughest player on this team to pin down. When he plays like he has the past couple games, he looks like a very solid back-up SG that deserves consistent minutes. However, every time he has been given consistent minutes in the past, the only thing that he has proven is that he's consistently inconsistent. I have always pulled for him and love his professionalism, so I would love to see him succeed, and I think Rambis will reward him with another stretch of games with consistent minutes to see how he responds. Telfair has really really been looking for his shot lately, which is unlike him, but he has also been hitting shots at a pretty impressive clip. I would still like him to succeed in this league too, but I just don't think it should be here. However, he must have some trade value at this point.

Anyways, great team effort tonight. Enjoy that taste of victory, boys, while it lasts.

AROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO for the win

Good team defense. Nice focus and nice job on team rebounds.

I think Rambis made only one mistake and that was having Tolliver on Scola when Koufos was on the floor.

I am really happy to see the excitment from all the team players at the end of the game. They all seemed so cheerful.

P.S. AROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO for Kosta

Forgot:

The referees sucked big time. No foul calls and those T were irrelevant!

AROOOOOOOOOOO!

Gutted my internet went midway through the 2nd quarter, can't believe I missed this one. Just got in from college to check the boxscore and look at the recap, couldn't believe my eyes that we won. Just HOW long is it since we've won back to back games on the road? Especially in the west?!

The consecutive 3's from Wayne and Love made me sex wee. It ain't often you see the Wolves that clutch, I'll hold my hands up and say that I've criticised Ellington before but hell, just reading the game thread it seems like he had an unreal game. Laimbeer said pre-season that he was really excited at his progression but JESUS, that contested 3 he made was out of this world! Love also stepping up massively in the last 5 minutes.

Our play at the point too, was really impressive. Nearly 30 pts between them. The and-1 by Jonny was just an insane shot, these past few games should work wonders for his confidence. Who needs Rubio? ;)

lmao at Kosta. remember that "dunk" he had last night where he whiffed on the rim and it went in anyway? TBH I like Kosta, he's a solid defender in the post, has great length, and solid athleticism. He has some nice potential.

He is not good in one on one defense. He is good playing team defense though. Isolated he faces problems by guys who can handle it.

I believe that both Pek and Kosta are better in team defense than Darko. On the isolations Darko is better.
