Yea I took that into consideration when I was posting that. Starting that pretty much right when GorSTAT decided to show up definitely explains the trend right now.

To elaborate more on why I think Nash should get this;

Against a team like GS, where their game plan is pretty much to beat us at our own game, the man we have to look to to keep us on top is Nash. If he would have had a bad game then there is definitely a chance we would've walked away with a L. Our defense is our defense, for better or worse at stretches, and Frye definitely came away with big rebounding numbers, but without Nash in there to facilitate the offense there's no telling whether Frye would have sunk as many tre's as he did.

Basically, Nash consistency > Frye hot shooting night for the win against GSW (imo), but not to take anything away from Frye's performance tonight. He stepped up as well.

Edit: added quote because of the new page

I think another reason Nash hasn't gotten one, fair or not, is that we've come to expect 15 and 15 from him. Not fair to Nash I know, but I've even caught myself thinking, "well Nash is ALWAYS good, so was it really him that made this a win?"

Definitely. As I said in my initial post, we take him for granted. I just think his shortcomings would have been more glaring against a team like GS had he had a bad game.

Against most other teams I would probably give the award to Frye, because those are the teams that we need other players to step up for.

I have no idea why I am getting so into this. Maybe it's because he is still 4 votes from taking the award haha
